There are a good number of Scarlet fans are also fans of the Joe 90 series (Okay, not all of them...). Some of the 'star puppets' from Captain Scarlet are even featured in this series, heavily (or not so heavily) disguised, in different supporting roles throughout this new series, starring the most unusual secret agent from WIN: a 9 years old boy, who's brain can receive the brain imprints of any person in the world, having the special abilities he needs for each of his mission.

The Supermarionation series created by Gerry and Sylvia Anderson, right after "Captain Scarlet & the Mysterons" is presently available in Europe in both DVD Region 2 and VHS tapes, PAL format. The series is sold in boxset in both DVD and tapes, comprising the entire 30 episodes run of the series.

The different volumes of both DVD and tapes will also be sold separately, with volumes 1 and 2 also available September 30. No news of when the other volumes will be sold as yet.

Be aware of the different Regions and recording Formats. UK tapes and DVD are PAL format - and DVD discs are Region 2, which means that, PAL TAPES ARE ONLY COMPATIBLE WITH UK VIDEO SYSTEMS AND REGION 2 DVD DISCS ARE ONLY COMPATIBLE WITH EUROPEAN PLAYERS -- THEY WILL NOT WORK IN US EQUIPMENT. Unless you have a system that will enable you to, you will not be able to view those medias in North American machines, which use NTSC recording format, and Region 1 for DVD discs. The same is true the other way around.

Joe 90 - Region 1, in French

JOE 90 REGION 1 DVD SET FRENCH VERSION

For French speakers (or for utterly passionate and curious fans) a French version of the Joe 90 series will be available by Imavision at the end of May, 2004 (Either May 18 or May 25). The four DVDs set will include all of the 32 episodes. Extras will comprise a photo gallery, characters bios, and chapters selection. It is not known at this point if there will be an English track, although it might be doubtful.

Available directly from Imavision (the site is in French) - or internationally from Amazon.ca ( This site features both French and English language). Both are Canada-based companies.
