REGION 2 PAL FORMAT CAPTAIN SCARLET DVD DISCS
Carlton International released the Captain Scarlet series in DVD (September 2001). The episodes are completed, with no missing scenes, with stereo sound, and fully remastered. The release of the DVD discs was scheduled to coincide with the release of the Video Tapes, which are featuring some of the same cover artwork. This time around, the release follows the original airing order of the series… And this time, no compilation.
The content of each disc appears bellow. Each disc features extra material, such as the audio adventures that were available in the 60s, documentaries, etc. The box set edition contains the five discs, and also includes a bonus documentary disc produced by Gerry Anderson. The boxset and the first separated volumes are presently available.

PLEASE! CAREFULLY READ THIS IMPORTANT NOTE FOR TAPES AND DVD: Be aware of the different Regions and recording Formats. UK tapes and DVD are PAL format - and DVD discs are Region 2, which means that, PAL TAPES ARE ONLY COMPATIBLE WITH UK VIDEO SYSTEMS AND REGION 2 DVD DISCS ARE ONLY COMPATIBLE WITH EUROPEAN PLAYERS -- THEY WILL NOT WORK ON US EQUIPMENT. Unless you have a system that will enable you to (multi-system and multi-Region/region free player, or something similar), you will not be able to view those medias in North American machines, which use NTSC RECORDING FORMAT, AND REGION 1 for DVD discs. The same is true the other way around. |

(Captain Scarlet, Region 1 DVD set French version)

French version of the Captain Scarlet series. No English track.
The four DVDs set will include all of the 32 episodes. Extras will comprise a photo gallery, characters bios, and chapters selection. It is not known at this point if there will be an English track, although it might be doubtful.
