Spectrum Security Personnel

It seems fairly obvious that (with reference to the pictures from this website) that Spectrum Security Personnel are issued with a 'captains' uniform (sans communicator) but do NOT appear to use the standard issue handgun. The appear to be armed with some kind of machine pistol or submachine gun. Is this verified anywhere?

Technically, that is incorrect. Spectrum's security uniforms are charcoal gray with white trousers and black knee-high boots. A white band goes from the waist to over the left shoulder and across the back. The white epaulettes do not indicate rank in any way.

The caps are black & white with a transparent visor and do not feature communication capabilities.

I used the term 'captains' to infer that their uniforms are identical in materials, etc. I'm more curious about the wepoans they're issued with.

As far as I know I don't believe it's verified anywhere. On a similiar note when I write in my fan fic's about weapons of the day, I create 'descendants' of present weapons AK-97 or something like that. So maybe these guns the security men have are M-11116's or something.

I'd personally made the assumption that their 'guns' were roughly the equivalent size of a machine pistol but probably/possibly have the firepower of a submachine gun. This is based on my other assumption that standard Spectrum issue handguns probably have the stopping power of a heavy caliber pistol.

Hmm yes the security guys, it always looked to me personally they where carrying a variant of the MP series. Possibly a forrunner of the MP5.

Isn't the pistol this guard is carrying a typical Spectrum side arm though?

Hmmm the pistol seems to be a standard firearm to be honest. All the pisotls carried by the color ccoded agents have their own color on them.

It does look like a standard firearm. The captain's (and Colonel White) have this gun also though with colour strips as the only distinction between the two.
