Well, just rest assured that she's gonna be dragged through hell, hopefully. I really am being evil now...

xx
Edit: Yes! I'm a captain now! It makes little sense for 'Serena Lewis' to be a captain, but I'm happy!

Sometimes you write about a character, and you develop them and their back-stories until - however much they differ from the original series character - they have become real in your imagination. Thereafter you can't write about the TV show version to save your life.

I can put my hand up to that sin... happily.

Like with Magenta, I naturally write him using Irish turns of phrase, when he didn't really have an accent in canon (and he probably wouldn't in actuality either, having been in America so long).

Maybe we're " mean" to them because we do feel we know them better than anyone, including all their flaws. There's nothing like a bit of flaw-exploiting to spice things up !

And I think that's true too - that you feel you know the character so well that you can use them to explore certain aspects or scenarios, confident you know how at least one character will react to it!
Maybe they're all really Mary-Sues in disguise?

Thinks: How would I like to be a tall, rich, blonde?

Oh...I'd hate that, probably. I am tall, but I would not want to be blonde for the world, brunette all the way!!
Rich, yes, but not have so much money I don't know what to do with it. That's stupid...
I'm still wondering how many Mary-Sues I've produced for stories...

I know so many flaws in each character...

Tall: Would you count 5 foot 9 inches as tall? (I'm small when compared to my brother... & he's even taller than all the official bio heights of each character!

Rich: I'm the same as Serena. If I wanted to get MORE money, I'd probably see how rich CS is and marry him... but there's one teeny tiny flaw in that.. I wouldn't be able to 'do away' with him... Magenta or Blue on the other hand...

that's madness with a little 'm'... as in 'crazy'...

Closest thing I have to someone tall, blond and rich* is my brother. Or maybe my best guy friend once he hits the big time as a novelist (he has a girlfriend though, but I don't fancy him anyway).
I'll take Ochre; wouldn't want to be a gold digger (though being a high ranking cop probably pays fairly well). Tall, dark & handsome is more my scene anyway. And there's obviously something about the name.
*which alas is his name, rather than financial status.

I'd pick Magenta...or Blue. NCS of course.
I really hope there is a human under all Magentas macho man stuff, he's alright really.
Blue is thick as two short chavs (Sorry, sorry...), but he's a slightly loveable chump. I could walk all over him though.

That's sort of what my mom says about the potential of a Blue/Ochre or Blue/Green. She says that Ochre would terrify him, walk all over him, whereas Green would look after him and help him with his addiction for crashing vehicles into walls...

He does have a lot of potential, so hopefully it can be rectified with fanfic.
Yeah for someone who's supposed to be a tough macho soldier Blue is a bit too gormless. He does need someone to just love.
Oh I don't doubt that at all, lol.
