Minor Characters.

Just a little wonder my brain has been on. Some of the minor characters in the show have had a whole 5 seconds of airtime. Should a second series have gone into production, the sureley we'd have seen more of them, and perhaps seen one or two go on to become major characters, and also gives them the opportunity to kill off one of the current major characters. Specific characters:

Captain Grey - Various Cameos
Captain Magenta - Virus
Captain Orange - IoD Pt. 1 only
Captain Brown - Syrtis Major
Captain Indigo - Syrtis Major
Skybase Techs.

Maybe Magenta, OCS Magenta is clearly my favourite but get rid of NCS Magenta. Sorry but that's my view.

Yeah I agree. Definately Magenta. I mean, he does nothing but flirt with random women. The others like Indigo or Orange should be given a chance to have a more major role alongside a main character or even a whole episode dedicated to them...not that we are getting new series, but hey.

Orange is barely a character (I have to re-watched Sirtis Major concerning Brown and Indigo). He doesn't say a thing and is just there to 'fill an empty space'. Background indeed.

At least, they developped the Magenta character. I actually liked him a lot, because he was one of the few of those 'background characters' who actually GOT a characterisation! You might not like they way they portrayed him, but what they did with the character was interesting. Kind of made him very human! I would have liked to see more of him, actually. If only to see one of the girls punching him in the face for being so annoying towards them! :grin:

That would be hilarious! But you're right, he does have a character, even if most people think it's a bad one. I think if I met a guy like that, I'd just burst out laughing and try to be friends for the strange but funny comedy moments...

I gave Lt. Silver a LOT of thought for my stories. And no one can say it's out-of-character, thank the Lord, because we don't know anything about her really. She's actually one of my fave characters.

Lieutenant Silver is (apparently-it's from a book) Australian, and her name is Bethany Craig.
I didn't know she'd got a name, so I gave her a completely different one. When I found out she had got a name, I decided that she'd changed her name by deed poll at some point. I just couldn't call her official name after calling her a made up one for so long. Plus I know a girl called Bethan, and that would be weird...

Your right, but I also love the way Magenta is portrayed in the fan fic 'Reflections' by Serena.

Lol, I have a friend who teases me because I love the Sicilian look. I can't help it! If Magenta was a nice guy under all that 'I'm too Sexy' persona, I'd fall for him.

I figured if they were going to kill off a character, it'd be Captain Ochre, sorry, don't bite my head off!!

No seriously, it'd be like Lt Tasha Jar from Star Trek: The Next Generation.

If they'd of done a third series, we'd of probably seen an awful lot more Grey, Magenta and Indigo, along with Rhapsody and Symphony who speak very little and probably seen how they are around Captain Scarlet. That'd be interesting if Captain Grey was seen giving Scarlet a lecturing over keeping safe!!

Update!

A background character I would have loved to have seen being given more screen time is the nurse who looks like Rhapsody Angel.

I've gave her a name and turned her into Rhapsody's twin sister. I use her in my fic 'Words Of Warning'.
