Oh, dear. I'm really starting to feel like a grandma amongst you young things.

Will have to get out the varifocals to watch Inst of Dest tonight - in between Darcey Bussell's last performance and this week's episode of Without a Trace.

I can't say I'd be able to contribute anything positive to the NCS discussion though - the more I re-watch the eps I've got (which is just over half the series) the less I like it. Give me OCS any day!

But even the 'better' half aren't that impressive.
I'm not talking about technical skill in making it, or even the changed characters - I like Lady Green and Lady Ochre, as far as it goes, I just wish they'd used other names for them - but I think the pacing of the plots, some of the plots themselves, and some of the dialogue didn't improve much.
OCS had its moments of pure banality - I don't dispute that - but it was unique in its day, and still is. CGI is everywhere now, and to compete NCS would have had to be top notch in ALL aspects.
If it had survived into a new series, it might've got better - I certainly hope so. As is it, its not bad, but even at its best, its nothing special. IMHO, of course.
