Captain Scarlet custom pics

Those who have visited the Halloween page have probably seen the picture I made for this year Challenge. Believe it or not, this is actually a montage, which used many bits and pieces coming from all kind of other, various pictures - Scarlet himself must have about 20 bits in all! The bits where then touched up in many different ways, to make them part of the same scene.

Now when you do montage - especially complicated montage like this one, it becomes a real addiction. You just want to make another one...

This is my latest creation - a scene I would like to see in a possible story that I might write sometimes in the Future - when I'll have time, that is

. In the meantime, you might try to imagine for yourself how Scarlet could have found himself in such a mess!

My god, these are magnificent! Congratulations, Chris. May I ask where you got the Scarlet template from? It doesn't look like an image of the puppet, but I don't recognise the art style either. I like it, though.

Hmmm, Spectrum and dinosaurs.... Better hurry up with that story, Chris! :grin:

The legs are re-coloured rugby player legs. I could only find white, so I applied a negative touch up to them, darkened them, and applied a blue hue. A touch up with brush, finger and eraser did the rest. I had to take the boots from one of the puppet pics, although I hid one of the feet into the bushes.

Body is made of two halves of other pics, one half actually already holding the gun. The left arm was made of three different pics, including one for the hand. Had to find the right position for it...

The head is made out of three tiny pieces: the head itself, a nose and frown from one of the drawing pics, a mouth and chin from another one. All merged together, and touched up with many drawing tools, to give it the 'feel' of a drawing instead of a picture.

As for a template, I used a 'running man' pic taken from the web, on which I pasted the many parts.

Um, I don't suppose an Ochre pic would be a faint possibility peeping coyly over the horizon? Huh, huh? <how the hell do you do puppy-dog eyes???>

Prismatic Avatar..have you taken a look at the Spectrum Calendars yet? Take your pic from 2005 or 2006 whether you prefer bathers or leathers... :wink:
