Several Questions

And yes - it was ONLY the series that I grew up on and I consider myself very fortunate to have seen the first annual (borrowed from friend and I didn't get to keep it) as that contained all of the character bio information that I subsequently used in any and all fan-fic thereafter. Otherwise I would never have known most of the character's names and backgrounds and would have had to make it all up myself.
Much appreciated - thanks again!

We've discussed this over the years, and have come to the conclusion that for INCOMING messages, the radio signal would cause the microphone to swing down automatically from the cap brim. We were stumped, however, at how the microphone would swing down for OUTGOING messages, since as mb2000 points out, no one ever presses a button, at least on screen.
UNTIL...
I saw an article in today's paper that the technology is already in the works, folks. Companies are developing biosensors and EEG electrodes that can "sense" when someone is concentrating on a certain action, such as featured in this article where Darth Vader lights up his lightsaber simply by concentrating on doing it. They're apparently developing a HEADSET

The future will be here before we know it!
