But women usually know when a man is in love with them, unless the man in question is exceptionally good at concealing his feelings for extended periods of time (e.g. Mr Darcy and Eliza Bennett),
I'd dispute that! I spent the best part of 7 months fancying a girl like mad, to the extent that nearly everybody in my circle of friends knew... except her. She hadn't a clue, or wasn't willing to admit it, despite the fact we'd been out together about three times along the seafront, and she'd been invited to my house on two different evenings. I couldn't have made it more obvious that I was mad about her.

Yep - gotta agree with that.
I think the 'romance (that) bubbled sedately beneath the surface' [to paraphrase the Drake/Bassett book on CS] is wonderful. It adds a layer of 'character' to an otherwise almost completely action-based series.
And - I admit - I can quite understand what she sees in him!

I like them too, it's pretty much impossible to avoid the fact there is something 'not entirely platonic' going on there; and there's some interesting dynamics to play with.
They were my first pairing ever, from way back when I was a weeny sage before I'd even started writing fanfic. So they'll always have a special place in my heart, even though I don't necessarily write fic about them all that much now.

In "The Mysteron Rap" clip on YouTube, Colonel White says "What's the matter with you man? Are you in love with the girl?"....but, instead of Blue who said "I suppose I am...Yes I am!", it's Scarlet......and he was referring to the Mysteron model, Gabrielle!
