Or am I wrong?
They seem to do stuff like this, such as taking over the truck in Big Ben Strikes Again.
If this is the case why not just do this all the time?

You must remember the case of Doctor Beck, though, in Shadow of Fear, who fell to a similar ailment while watching Mars through a telescope. In his case, however, he did die... Perhaps, in this instance, the Mysterons didn't need Black, because Beck was so focused himself on Mars, and looking directly at it...
So why won't they do that more often? Perhaps because they are waging a psychological war on us, and could simply wipe us out of Earth's surface whenever they want. Perhaps because they have sworn their revenge would be slow... or perhaps that controlling a human mind in such a way is so darn more difficult than they expected, that they could only do it with a selected few who are more receptive to their powers (much like some people can be hypnotised and others can't).
Again, as they say themselves, "The Mysterons have powers we cannot hope to understand"... so any explanation could do. We might never really know.
Any other thoughts?

If that's the case, some stories might have leant themselves more readily to having Black kill/control the Mysteron's chosen target or weapon? Where the plot didn't, the Mysterons managed without him - as with Dr Breck...
We see Black killing some people personally - but usually it is done by a vehicle crash (cars or trains) and then the picture cuts away to show Black watching - which suggests he wasn't always intended to be there...
In some cases - like the space craft that crashed into the temple at Najama - he wasn't anywhere near when the craft was destroyed by the Mysterons and surely, that business with the transmitter was a bit of a red herring? The craft would go wherever the Mysterons sent it - after all they controlled it.
Blowing up the temple was pretty pointless...
But - boy! - did we get to see some big explosions!

Question is, WHO was dragging him, Capt. Black, perhaps?....even though, we don't see him!
In "Manhunt", Captain Black simply flicks a switch to send a car hoist clear to the ceiling, crushing car, mechanic and all!
Black also casually flicks a lit match onto a puddle of oil in order to destroy a warehouse storing Angel aircraft.

Good thing Scarlet doesn't remember any of this. Someone could go mad recalling how he actually buried a body who was originally his...

Besides, you have to remember they didn't have much time per episode and they probably didn't want to confuse the young viewers with too much information. We think it's interesting what they did, or didn't, say, but they were making a TV show where the emphasis was on action, not words.
I'm sure we can fill in the gaps for ourselves - in fact, that's what many of us do in the fan fiction stories.

Maybe that body just walked away...
...or just do what corpses do.
What do they do - lay around, looking stiff?

Couldn't resist!

Which brings up an interesting question; Just whatever became of Lieutenants Dean & Conway, after Captain Black returned alone from the Zero-X mission and his subsequent disappearance?
Nice avatar, Carrie!!

Nice avatar, Carrie!!(What a dishy hunk, that Captain Grey!

Lt's Dean and Conway hmmm, well it's possible the Mysterons kept them in some sort of suspended animation. They at that time didn't know alot about humans and their ways. As for Captain Black himself, hmm yes he did 'vanish' from Glen Feild Spaceport. Excatly what happened you may have to draw your own conclusions to that.
We know that Black is not completely devoid of humanity. It's quite possible that the Mysterons seized control over Black's mind in someway. A technological Zombie???
Our powers are beyond human comprehension - The Mysterons
So it's quite possible that Black is still human, alive and not a Mysteron replicant.

If someone saw this happen (a few times) and told Spectrum about it, they would the know what to 'look' for (i.e on security footage).

Besides, I think that the Mysterons are being/trying to be creative with how they kill people.

that's madness with a little 'm'... as in 'crazy'...
