I do already have an idea, just need to get it written up.

For those who know the drill, for having participated to the challenge in the past - or for having read the many wonderful stories written for that challenge - there isn't anything else to add, exept that the same rules as the previous years apply to this year challenge.
For those who have yet to experience the thrill of writing a Captain Scarlet / Halloween inspired story, or offering your own creation (image done by montage, drawing, animated gif, strip, whatever), I invite you to check out the Halloween Challenge webpage and to read the rules and guideline, and to contact the webmaster (me) to present your project(s) and submission(s) at spectrum_hq@hotmail.com
AND FOR A SPECIAL TREAT THIS YEAR, AN ADDITIONAL CHALLENGE... This is the pic Marion was talking about:
<TABLE BORDER="1" CELLPADDING="0" CELLSPACING="0" WIDTH="100%"><TR><TD>
WHATEVER HAPPENED TO SCARLET FOR HIM TO BE BURIED - ALIVE - IN A CEMETERY?
'Midnight has chimed its last long ago. The night is quiet. And yet...
There is a crack of thunder, and lightning flashes in the sky. In a lonely cemetery, something stirs beneath the surface... Something... or rather someone... who emerges from the ground and desperately crawls to the surface...'
As an additional challenge, inspire yourself from this image to come up with a story explaining how Captain Scarlet came into such a predicament.
Take note that YOU DON'T have to use base your Halloween story on this picture. It's a simple complement for those of you who might want a little inspiration. As for the rest of the Halloween Challenge, the same rules as above apply. Stories can be short or long, and you can elaborate all you want. It's for you to decide.
Can you tell us what happened?
The pic on the right is a montage done with an image program,
using numerous bits and pieces, all of them pasted together and touched up into a single image. Feel free to present similar pictures, to put onto the Halloween Pictures Pics page!

'Midnight has chimed its last long ago. The night is quiet. And yet...
There is a crack of thunder, and lightning flashes in the sky. In a lonely cemetery, something stirs beneath the surface... Something... or rather someone... who emerges from the ground and desperately crawls to the surface... A gaunt face is raised to the harsh blaze of light and a hand lifts in supplication…’
Complete pandemonium erupted amongst the film crew filming the live Halloween special. The female star started screaming loudly enough to be heard across three counties, while another voice could be heard calling out for paranormal help. One of the crew members had turned to run and had fallen into an open grave, from which his voice could be heard issuing forth, shrieking that ‘they’ had got him. The director was heard to demand that the local vicar be hauled out to perform an exorcism just as the studio announcer came on to say that, due to technical difficulties, they were now returning to the studio for some discussion.
There was a moment of total silence in Cloudbase’s recreational lounge as the Captains stared at the vid-screen. It was eventually broken by Magenta clearing his throat.
“Well, at least we know where Scarlet’s got to,” he offered. “And he’s back just in time for the Halloween party!”

I like a little humourous twist in my fiction....

Poor old Scarlet and Blue very rarely get an even break with me. They're heroes, which means they have large targets painted on them, with a sticker saying 'kick me' just below.
And I do, I do....

Do not forget: the Halloween Challenge is still open, until the end of the month. So if you have a story you'd like to see posted, just submit it or contact me at spectrum_hq@hotmail.com.
ALSO, the first of the Challenge of Five story, written by Marion Woods, is now available online:
http://www.spectrum-headquarters.com/th ... _title.htm
Marion chose to write a story of the Five Angels for her Challenge. The aim of this website is to AT LEAST offer five stories for the Challenge of Five. So if you have a tale you want to post for this particular challenge, again, just contact me!

My halloween story is progressing slowly but fairly surely.
As for the challenge of five ... how about twenty five fics for it?
I found '25fluffyfics' and thought 'hey 5x5 = 25, that'd be a great idea' (because I obviously have no good sense whatsoever).
I'm writing about the angels, for a change, though everyone else gets a look in too.
Anyway here's my table for it.
Two down, twenty three to go.

That's ambitious! Good luck with it!

And keep me informed on your progression!

That said they're probably all be quite short, and it's not too bad compared to fanfic100.
Thanks

I'll send you the two I've done already (come to think of it one of them is sort of halloween themed), then the others as I finish them. They'll be all out of order for the prompt table but we can fix that later on.
