If you could change...

If you could change ANYTHING in NCS, what would it be? And give a reason why...
Mine would be Destiny. She's just so...so...so...ANNOYING, that I really don't like the character. Her origins as a French girl, and her original charater personality were way better. This one's too soppy...
Please post an answer. Thank you!

I also feel that the length of each episode was not right at 22 or 23 minutes and that it would be better to have made, say 24 episodes that were 25 or 26 minutes instead. It always made me wonder how tv companies were supposed to fit such a programme into a time slot with only one set of adverts.
I think that the biggest problem is not with the programme, itself, but with the tv companies it has been sold to. I think it should have been given to the BBC or Sky over here and I cannot believe how Sony has treated it in the US.
I seem to recall reading in an earlier issue of FAB magazine that when the pilot episodes were shown to the people at Sony, they were so impressed that they stood up and applauded. Where are these people now and what has been their contribution in getting the series up and running and the US viewing public informed.
Lastly, where is that new official NCS website? I have given up trying to get information from CITV and the Scarlet Team.

Better development of the 'minor' characters, particually the angels. They've got Destiny doing near enough everything but we don't really even know the others names. So much for equal representation or whatever.
Have only seen the first series, but was rather hoping it wouldn't take 14+ episdoes to figure out who everyone is.

No, wait! The inexcusable non-use of all the other Captains! Yeah, that's much worse. Brown and Indigo don't even have voices. Brown doesn't even have a real name, fergawdsake.

The entire NCS production saga is one big from the scheduling to selling overseas to the web site and so on. I wonder if we will ever find out what really happened.
I agree that the only changes I would make would have been the total handling (distribution) of the project. As for the series itself, I had no problem with Destiny - there are annoying people in the real world so why not on Cloudbase. I've never seen an issue with the use of real names but can see the point of why bother with fake names if they always call each other by their Christian names.
The start credits should have been updated with scenes as the series went on, as originally planned. Its as if everyone gave up on the series even before it went out.

My beef is this - no-one set out to make her annoying; this isn't some comedy about office life. Moreover, Destiny is integral (apart from her Angel leader thang) to the credibility of the Scarlet/Black/Destiny 'love' triangle. I find it impossible to believe Scarlet wouldn't want to slap her, and that sh*ts on good stories - that any story benefits from her being annoying is beyond me.
See, now my fire is up!
Stupid Destiny. I confess I blame the voice actress. It's clumsy work.
And use the code-names, or call it the New Adventures of Paul Metcalfe and see who buys it!
Sorry, I'm done.

But what I'd really like to fix is that sorry excuse for Captain Blue. He needs (at the very least) an extreme makeover and voiceover - something to change him from the ugly, sour, overacted pain (who sounds too much like those corny 'hero types' of B to possibly D grade movies), into something even half approximating the very fine character of the original Captain Blue.
Those are my main complaints but don't get me started - frankly I could write a great deal more!

I don't think it was just Destiny - quite a few characters were revamped. Scarlet's face may not have changed but his hairstyle became more like the original.
I think the changes were due to Ron Thornton coming on board after the first two-parter, organising the CGI teams and fine tuning some of the visual aspects.
