No New Captain Scarlet annual this year...

I suspect this is not the case either.

I can't remember when I have seen another merchandising and advertising campaign for a series so badly handled. It is almost as if the powers that be at Sony and Granada wanted it to fail. The only merchandise to come out to coincide with the series has been the toys and comic. Everything else seems to have vanished into the woodwork.
And I don't care what some people may say about how difficult updating websites is, the Official Site is supposed to be there to advertise the series. Not stagnate and then vanish.

If it wasn't for Chris's website, NCS wouldn't have a presence on the Internet at all - as far as I know. If she can manage to keep it 'up to date' in her spare time - how hard can it be for someone who is being PAID to do it to keep the thing active?
Same applies to OCS now, of course, since they took that site away to 'concentrate' on the new series.

I can only assume that Granada/Sony and the rest are run by the Mysterons.

You might argue that of all the original shows 'Captain Scarlet' had the most 'adult' of themes and that it was more suited to an older 'teenage' audience - but they chose not to go down that route, so there's no point crying over spilt milk.
I think NCS was treated shabbily by the companies involved in its broadcast - it deserved better than it got from them. Its not my personal cup of tea but any CS is batter than no CS at all.
