Thought about it but no - I was on a mission to buy the PE SPV and Skydiver (which is seriously impressive, by the way) and maybe some Star Wars stuff, so didn't have the money spare.

My credit card is going to melt with their new Scarlet and Irwin Allen releases later this year. I like their Moonbase Alpha tank too but as you'll have to buy it as part of a gift set with another Eagle I'll have to pass - I've just no room for multiple Eagles.
It'll be interesting to see how their 6 inch version of the SSC does against Corgi's 5 inch one.
I agree their Skydiver is great, always wanted one since I was a kid. I've also been trying to get them to do a larger Sky One perhaps with the UFO saucer from their Interceptor pack for dogfighting fun!

They've just emailed me to say the SPV and SSC have been posted too, but no Cheetah until May.
Anyway the Rhino is really cool. Great paint job, though I agree with 21st Century Boy that the Spectrum "S" logo is really too glossy. The model (toy?) is 156mm long, 35mm high (to the top of the fins at the back), and 50mm wide.
There are 2 panels on the front that can be pressed. The front panel extends the front and rear battering rams and opens the front missile hatch displaying 2 missiles (non firing), the second panel opens the left door and a seated Scarlet pops out.
A nice touch is that these are flat panels which blend in with the vehicle profile rather than the Corgi TB2 highly visible buttons.
The wheels have some suspension, though it's just loose, not springs.
So it's a lovely little model, not as large as a Product Enterprise diecast though it's only a third of the price. 9/10 (deducted 1 for the glossy decal!)

SPV length 145mm, height 46mm (51mm to top of fin), width 63mm. This makes it smaller than the original Dinky (160mm) but larger then the Vivid Imaginations 1993 diecast (140mm). Having the correct double set of wheels is a very nice touch.
It has much finer panel line detailing than the Vivid version. As with the earlier diecasts the rear tracks lower and pushing down the front of the vehicle opens the (smaller) front rocket hatch and fires a spring loaded rocket. Nice larger SPV decal on the front looks just like photos I've seen on one of the original models.
Pressing a flat panel on the roof above the left door the right door pops open displaying Scarlet attached to the door just like the Vivid and later Dinky version. Front bumper is plain white, no black panel lining. This version has very thin rear aerials and unlike the Dinky and Vivid versions these cannot be folded down.
Oh, and like the Rhino it's got a very glossy Spectrum logo.
Anyone got an original Dinky SPV for comparison? There's a website devoted to it here.
SSC is length 120 mm, height 35mm (excluding fin), width 48mm.
Only just smaller than the Dinky version (121mm).
Unlike the old Dinky it has no aerial. Nice paint job, rear compartment has frosted plastic windows. Strangely no side windows - maybe Scarlet was a bit hot and wound them down?
Has opening doors with a nice Scarlet figure driving.
No suspension and the glossy Spectrun decal returns again.
For me, Product Enterprise SPV remains the definitive diecast model to date (and the most expensive). The Corgi SPV and SSC are definitely toys rather than collectors models, but are great fun nonetheless and fans hopefully will buy one. I think the Corgi designer of the Rhino must have not been the same as the one that designed the SPV and SSC as it appears to me that the Rhino is far better, although it may be that they were provided with accurate plan drawings from Anderson Productions.
Roll on Corgi's Cheetah in May and Falcon and Angel in June.

And the Rhino has a battering ram! Hours of spring-loaded fun...

I think that's just the lighting.

with the the new and old vehicles placed together... you sort of realise the difference/changes they've made to them (well I certainly did if nobody else has).
that's madness with a little 'm'... as in 'crazy'...

I ordered the SPV and Rhino from Carinabox.com back on 7th April but have had no news about my order. I have sent 2 emails and left one answerphone message to Carinabox but have had no acknowledgement of any kind.
More alarmingly, I can no longer locate these models on the Carinabox website. To be fair, my cheque has not been cashed but does anyone know if this company is still in business?

Has anyone had any troule with Carinabox? I would like for you to contact me. Meanwhile, as soon as I can (tonight!) I will remove the links from the Merchandises page. If they don't have the merchandises and/or ar not reliable enough, the site won't suggest them.
The Corgi U.K. official site presently offers directly from them (to U.K. customers only, I suspect). You might also check the other merchants listed on the CGI Merchandises pages. Also, I'll check over at Star Trader if they have the Corgi toys. Prices at Star Trader might be a little high by some standards, but their service is very good, and they ship internationally.
