Into Infinity/Space Police
Moderator: Spectrum Strike Force
Thought both were great fun.
Hadn't seen Into Infinity for years. Good old Nick Tate and Brian (Gordon's alive?) Blessed. Captain Harry Masters (Nick) can fix a broken photon drive all by himself with just a couple of tools. What a guy! Great 1999 style FX and sound effects. Still wanted to kill the nerdy brat David, and I reckon the acceleration to near lightspeed within a few minutes would squash them all to jelly.
Having never seen Space Police, it was very strange - the mix of Terrahawks style puppets with live action worked in some places and not in others. An early version of Slomo too! Officer Costello transforming into a metal skin was very poor - just a dodgy tin face plate. FX of Terrahawks standard - from execllent to not too hot.
Anyhow I really enjoyed seeing these rare 70s and 80s productions. Doppelganger on DVD next please!
Anyone else seen either of these? What are your views?

Space Police was very odd. I had waited for years to see this and was dissappointed. I do like Space Precinct a lot and am glad that what eventually did happen happen and that Space Police was not a series. The mixture of live action, Terrahawks type puppety and stop motion was very jarring to say the least.

I have a soft spot for 'Into Infinity' as well, and can recall its two original screenings on the BBC round Christmas... 1976 and 1977. i think. I'd heard about it in advance through a feature in the old 'Sci-Fi Monthly' magazine - a rare occurance in those days!
