OK I've tried just uploading it from my computer, didn't work.
So uploaded it to photobucket and used the pics url, that didn't work either.
So umm yeah, am stuck now.

It's definetly below 6KB (2.69 KB in fact), 100 x 100 pixels, and is a PNG file. Though no idea if that'd be the problem.

Could somebody help, please?

Well, I managed to change mine okay... although it's rather large despite my resizing it on photobucket. The pics were all jpg.
Once it was there, I copied the url and pasted it into my forum profile - in the final section - under 'Link to off-site avatar'.
I tried 3 pics one after the other and it worked okay - although the pics were either very, very small or enormous... haven't worked that one out yet :roll: (A quick check back shows the pics is still enormous... now, I don't mind... but I don't want to upset The Boss... 8)
When one pic was too large ( above 6kb) - I got a message telling me it was too big, so if you aren't getting that, it should be okay... I think.
No doubt one of the techno-mods will put us both right about this, if I'm talking rot... always a possibility :wink:

ROFL - now it is miniscule.... I thnk I overdid Captain Blue's detox diet... :wink: back to the drawing board...

Glad it worked out okay, Sage - that's a nice avatar you have, btw - although I can't think of anyone it would apply to on this forum :wink:
I thought I'd kept Symphony's picture for quite a while and that it was time to get back to basics.... New Year - new avatar? :D

I saw it on livejournal, and just had to snag. Having realised that yup it's all true, and then the colour and everything.

I think I'm having the same problem. My picture size is small and the dimensions are only 80 x 80, but it won't load up... Keep getting the following error message:

Zero-X, just e-mail me your avatar, I'll set it up for you. I don't know why you can't upload images to the forum gallery. It might have to do with the setting of this new version. Don't know either what's the deal with the 'header' message either.

If anyone else have the same kind of trouble with avatars, just e-mail the picture to me, with your username, and I'll put it online.
