2005 Christmas Challenge launched
Moderators: chrisbishop, Spectrum Strike Force
The 2005 FanFiction (and pics) Challenge has been launched... And you are invited to participate in it - hopefully, in great number!
Here's the challenge: to write a Captain Scarlet/Christmas related fanfiction story that will be posted on the Spectrum Headquarters site.
Basically, the rules remain the same as for all challenges:
- The story could be related to the Holiday itself, or to one of the many subjects generally associated with it. The story should keep true and faithful to the Captain Scarlet mythos (classic or new). If writing a NCS story, please state it clearly in the introduction and/or summary.
- It could be as short as one page, or as long as you wish.
- Slash stories will not be accepted.
- Accepted will be one-shot stories, or two or three-parts maximum. If more than one part, note that, to avoid an unfinished story, all the parts should be completed before posting.
Those rules and other information can be found on the Christmas Challengepage.
Don't forget you can also provide with Captain Scarlet/Christmas related pics, to either illustrate your story or to be posted as stand-alone images.
This is the fourth edition of the Christmas Challenge, and you would think that, so soon after the Halloween Challenge, this one might be a little forgotten? Surprisingly, no! Each previous year has proven to be a success for the Christmas Challenge. There's already THIRTY-FIVE stories online, the grand total of these last three years' submissions for Christmas. I invite you to check them out, to see what it's all about - or perhaps - to jog your imagination.
If you think you can rise to the challenge, contact me by e-mail at spectrum_hq@hotmail.com and inform me of your project.
