Shane Rimmer, the actor who voiced Scott Tracy in Thunderbirds and starred in three James Bond movies, has died aged 89.
Bond historian Mark O'Connell and producer Jonathan Sothcott confirmed his passing on Twitter .
"RIP that fine character actor SHANE RIMMER - a great face (and voice) in some of the best loved family films of the 70s: THE SPY WHO LOVED ME, WARLORDS OF ATLANTIS, STAR WARS. Thunderbirds. Amazing career," wrote Jonathan.
Born in Toronto, Canada, Shane emigrated to the UK in the late 1950s and performed as a cabaret singer before landing a role voicing the pilot of Thunderbird 1.
Shane also starred in a slew of hit movies, including Dr Strangelove, The Spy Who Loved Me, Gandhi, Out of Africa and Batman Begins.
He appeared in more James Bond films than any other actor outside of the franchise's recurring characters, and had uncredited parts in You Only Live Twice, Diamonds Are Forever, Star Wars and Superman II.

Nice summary of wonderful actor's work, Marion.
I cannot tell a lie, Carrie; it was cut and pasted from an Internet news item. I should have credited it.
