R.I.P Mike Noble

Mike was, of course, the extremely talented artist who illustrated many of the TV21 comic strips, including Fireball XL5, Zero-X and Captain Scarlet.
Personally, I count myself lucky to have met him last year, at the Fanderson convention. He talked on stage about his life and career, and also chatted to besotted (!) fans in the 'Art' Room. He seemed genuinely unassuming and humble about his abilities, and amazed that people should still be interested in his work after all this time. Another great loss to the Anderson community.
My sincere condolences to his family and friends.

I never saw Captain Scarlet on TV in the 60s - we didn't have a TV - so my introduction to the Scarlet Universe was largely through the TV21 and Lady Penelope comics. They engendered a life-long affection for the series and I was delighted when so many of the original artworks were reproduced to coincide with the 1990s revival, bringing the same enjoyment to a whole new generation.
