A Captain Scarlet (Original) Challenge.

1. Novena Airport appears in 'Flight 104'
2. Haynes manual states that MSV has a 'starboard driving seat' so on the right.
The 1968 manual suggests that the driver is actually an 'auto- robot' clamped to the floor of the MSV and controlled(!) by the Spectrum officer in charge of the MSV...it doesn't however state whether the robot sits on the right or the left...

1: In what episode does Novena Airport appear?
.....Flight 104
2: On what side (left or right) does the Driver sit on in the Maximum Security Vehicle?
.....Both. Either.
Man, once again different information from different sources. Although if you think about it, it makes sense that the driver position can change because (depending where in the world you are) the side of the road people drive on changes. Because of this all answers will be accepted.
3: Scarlet and Lieutenant Green find themselves on the island of Haiti and fall victim to a voodoo sect in which story and who wrote it?
.....The Walking Dead. By Chris Bishop.
Poor Green, what a nightmare. A well written story, enjoyed and often re-read. Love that it was from Green’s point of view.

Q1:Who was the first person to die on Cloudbase in 'Attack on Cloudbase'?
A tricky one, but I'm going for Dr Fawn
Q2: What Civil Aircraft was the SPJ based on?
According to Chris Bentley's 'Complete Book of Captain Scarlet' it was a 'refinement of Universal Aero's revolutionary TVR 24'.
Q3: What is the fanfic based on a series of vignettes about Captain Grey?
'In His Element' by Sage Harper

1: A sign ‘Might is Right’ can be seen in which episode?
.....Avalanche
.....The Trap
.....Model Spy
.....Codename Europa
2: What is the maximum speed of the Angel Interceptor?
3: This is one of the few stories that is not finish on this web-site. In it Captain Ochre is seriously injured and the Mysterons replicate a dog. As Spectrum tries to stop the Mysterons from taking over a very powerful computer.
What is it called and who wrote it?
Even though this story is unfinished I chose it because I think that it is a very good story and it is a pity that it isn’t finished. Although it does give the read an opportunity to make up their own ending.

1. Avalanche. It's on General Ward's desk. It's a shame that character didn't return in any other episode of CS. He makes a fine antagonist. Yeah, I know we used him in a few fanfiction!
2. I have to concure that it's indeed 3000 MPH, from earlier sources as well.
3. Operation Minerva indeed! And I hope Siobhan's reading these lines, 'cause we want the ending of that story.
Think we should send her a link to this thread?!

1: Who was the first person to die on Cloudbase in ‘Attack on Cloudbase’?
.....Doctor Fawn.
Rhapsody was the first to die, when the Mysterons took out her plane. Then Scarlet, one could argue that he died when his plane got back to Cloudbase, but that is not all that clear. Doctor Fawn is the first one to be seen. Then it was Magenta.
2: What civil aircraft was the Spectrum Passenger Jet base on?
.....Universal Aero’s TVR24.
3: This narrative is a group of Captain Grey cantered vignettes from throughout his life. What is its title and who is its author?
......In His Element. By Sage Harper.
A delightful read. Thank you Sage Harper for writing it.
I still need some more time to work out the points. Will post as soon as I do work them out.

A big thank you to all that have answered my questions so far.
Answers for Set Thirty-one:
1: A sign ‘Might is Right’ can be seen in which episode?
……Avalanche
2: What is the maximum speed of the Angel Interceptor?
…..3000 / 4000 m.p.h.
3: This is one of the few stories that is not finish on this web-site. In it Captain Ochre is seriously injured and the Mysterons replicate a dog. As Spectrum tries to stop the Mysterons from taking over a very powerful computer. What is it called and who wrote it?
….. Operation: Minerva - by Siobhan Zettler.
I think she has run into the same problem that you ran into Chris with ‘Murky Waters’, writing herself into lack of options. But it is still, a very good an interesting story And I will add my voice to the call for it to be finish, please.
Set Thirty-two, questions.
1: ‘I’ve a red indication. Angle One is not manned,’ is said by Lieutenant Green in which episode?
…..White as Snow.
….. Crater 101.
….. The Launching.
….. Manhunt.
2: How many horizontal ‘jet-like’ engines can Cloudbase use to move itself?
3: This is a set of two stories in which Captain Blue and Symphony Angel end up becoming rather feline thanks to the Mysterons. What are their titles and who wrote them?
Now for the rest of the questions.
1: In this episode the Angel aircraft are being flown by Symphony, Harmony and Destiny. Which one is it?
2: ‘This is a Red Alert, not a stroll around the deck. Move!’ is said by Colonel White in which episode?
3: In this episode is the first time Scarlet says: ‘You know I’m right Adam. What is the episode?
And for those who would like to know, here’s the point’s table.
Marion: 68.........Lt Pine: 30
Chris: 24...........Carrie: 42
Elentari: 2
I think it is right.

My answers for Set 32'
Q1: well I confess I'm stumped, I watched all four epsiodes on fast forward so i might have missed something, darn it. (and I'm not going to copy Marion's answer...

Q2: not sure if the answer is four or eight. According to the Haynes manual there are four Jet Cloud Conversion Engines which: 'provide additional power to the hoverfans and can move Cloudbase to a new location in conjunction with adjacent stabilising and directional jets. there are two of each on all four points which makes eight. But perhaps Im over complicating things...
Q3: The two Fan Fics are 'The Cat's Eyes' and 'Instinct', written by Kelly Haycock and Ono.
I'll take a shot at Set 33 (I assume, you didnt say) but so far I only have an answer for Q1
The Episode where Symphony, Destony and Harmony fly together is 'The Launching'.
