Come to think of it, wasn't one of the other bird friends of Snoopy named Conrad?

He certainly is. Anyone remember the Snoopy and the Red Baron records by The Royal Guardsmen? My father bought them (3 singles) and I've still got them.

That and a red vinyl, 78 rpm recording of "Skinnie Minnie Fishtail".
That gives you an idea of how ancient I am.

Ah, and Hazel... I hear you. I might be firing up mine as well eventually. That's too tempting, isn't it?

I have ten 78s, but admittedly some are older than me.
Besides my favourite music era - late 50s-early 60s - I also absorbed the music my parents listened to like Glenn Miller, the Andrews Sisters and (concerning this mob, I am probably more of a fan than my parents), Spike Jones and his City Slickers.

I have a very moth-eaten Snoopy fifteen inches high that a good friend gave me for my 19th birthday at Uni. He's lost one eye, is in severe need of a dry-clean, and I'm too old for cuddly toys but I can't bear to part with him.
I do remember 'Snoopy and the Red Baron' being played on the radio, probably by the dear departed Ed 'Stewpot' Stewart in 'Junior Choice'.
