It IS a lovely story, though! If you can't be sentimental at Christmas, when can you be? (hugs)

Marion has portrayed Blue's loving but sad relationship with his daughter beautifully. She's a master in subtlety when it comes to crafting the complexities that extended families bring - and how occasions that should be joyful can end up being anything but!

Nice to see the splendid Philly (always one of my favourite characters) taking a more prominent role; and getting her devotion acknowledged by 'HER' Captain!

Oh, of COURSE it was, Marion!
I thoroughly enjoyed the story, and loved the way you deftly inter-weaved all the characters' stories to make a perfectly satisfying whole!
Flaxen and Philly are so wonderfully realized, they are as real as the 'originals'.. Not a Mary-Sue among them!
