Christmas Challenge: 2016/2017 Edition
Moderator: Spectrum Strike Force
As you all know, this is the time for the Spectrum Headquarters' Christmas Challenge. This year's Challenge marks the 15th Edition of the Challenge.
Postings debute this week, but a brand new story, submitted to us by Marion Woods, a long-time collaborator of Spectrum HQ. This is an original "Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons" story, and it stars Marion's favourite character. I'll let you guess which one!
So let's start right away:
THE THIN LINE
by Marion Woods. A family wedding at Christmas – what could possibly go wrong? Captain Blue finds out for himself. ff 614.
Enjoy your reading!

This week, we post our traditional "reposting". The story we chose this year was originally posted in 2004. It benefited from a new beta-reading session, to correct minor mistakes, and we added a new title art and new background (visible to those who have widescreen). As a bonus, we also made a PDF format of the story, that can downloaded and read on a tablet.
ROCK-A-BYE ANGEL
by Chris Bishop and Marion Woods. After a Mysteron attack in Tibet, Captain Scarlet and Harmony Angel find a baby boy and bring him back to Cloudbase. ff 205 Christmas Challenge. This story is also available in PDF format. Originally posted December 25, 2004. Reposted December 12, 2016.
Enjoy!

It became a tradition that, on Scarlet's anniversary date, the Spectrum HQ website would post a birthday story, which is integrated into the Christmas Challenge. The birthday story has almost been written each year by Marion Woods. And this year, Marion wrote for us another birthday story, that we have the pleasure to present you:
BRIEF ENCOUNTER
by Marion Woods.
Everyone enjoys a surprise on their birthday, but this particular year Captain Scarlet gets rather more than even he expected.
Enjoy!
