I have just finished reading one of the funniest stories it's ever been my pleasure to download. Ladies and gents, may I recommend Sikako, by Siobhan Zettler?
It's impossible to give you any snippets without spoiling the surprise, but I can safely say that we see Col. White in a totally uncharacteristic panic attack, and Ochre rising magnificently to an intolerable situation. I can honestly say that I laughed almost all the way through it - from the first revelation on page 2 right the way through to the end. Our heroes are portrayed in a fabulously oddball, but typically... er... heroic light.
10/10. Read it and giggle.

Doesn't Ochre rise to the challenge magnificently? Nice to see him getting to be the hero for once!

Having been privileged to have had a sneak preview, I think I had a pretty good idea how well it would be received! I'd like to add my congratulations to those of everybody else here - it's a true classic, Siobhan. Don't miss it, Ochre fans!

Haven't laughed out loud at a piece of writing so for ages!
My image of Ochre and Melody in their crit-catching get-up will stay with me for a LONG time..

Each time I have an encounter with Sikako's, erm, ancestors?, I think about this story. It's hilarious, and I can confirm that the dread and horror displayed by the various characters is more than justified. Rick is a true hero in my book, and the Colonel's reaction was priceless! Well done!

I can't believe that in all the years I've been a member of SHQ, I hadn't actually read this little gem. Until now, when I am wiping away tears of laughter and trying to compose myself into a semblance of normality.

Brilliant, fabulously well written and the funniest story I've read in years. Well done, Siobhan! We miss you, both on the forum and for the fanfic treats you gave us. While it was lovely to hear from you recently, it's been too long! If you're reading this, I only have two more words to say ; 'Op Min' ? :grin:

I can not help but agree. I read it a little while back but I can still remember the story. A sign of a good story, when you con still recall it for sometime after you read it. Especially if you read a lot. Oh the trouble that lands on Cloudbase. He he he. :grin:
