Thank you for your thoughts. I sorry that it has taken so long to reply to you. The main to reasons have been: the fact that I have great difficultly putting my thoughts into words. So I need to pre-write e-mails and such. As well I don’t, at the moment, have access to the inter-net at home. So that means that there can be a bit of time between when I can check things, like the forum.
It’s great to know that you enjoyed A Fated Encounter. It was a long time in writing and it would not have been finished, if not for Chris. Oh for the wonderful help of the beta readers. I have to admit that I did make a stuff up, as I didn’t get an acknowledgement to the Colonel in time for her to post it.
It was to acknowledge her help and the used of Marion’s Nantucket house.
I will also say that I love reading your stories. You have a great way of working with the characters. I love how you’ve grown them. I’m looking forward to whatever new stories you end up writing.

I do need to thank you for letting me use Blue’s place at Nantucket that you created. As it saved me a lot of work having to create a place myself.
When the inspiration for A Divine Quest came to me, I knew that I needed a place for Blue to end up at. One that had a very strong connection to Blue. That first I thought about using Cloudbase but that idea didn’t sit well with me.

As for using it as the setting for the ‘event’. Well, it wasn’t something that was originally in mind but (you know how it can be) it asked to be written and considering the significants of the place. Where else could it take place.
Hmmm, I wonder? Now the setting been given, will the actual occasion get written? Alas I don’t have the competence to do so.
For you others who are reading this and have not read Sojourh (or read it along time ago), read it. It is a first-rate story.

I think several people have imagined scenarios for The Event - I know Colonel Chris does - the closest I came to it was at the end of 'Ghost in the Machine':
"He's really doing rather well with the arrangements, although it is about time Mom and I leant a hand. When I asked him for his ideas of suitable tunes to walk up the aisle to - he suggested the theme from 'Mission: Impossible'. I think it was meant to be a joke,” [Symphony] confided to the Colonel with an expression of tolerant forbearance.
Privately, Colonel White thought it was more indicative of incipient panic.

Man it’s good to be back in civilization. That is as civilized as a small town can be. Spring: always busy for me.
Hmmm…. You’re right Marion. I do realize that mentions, hints and references to Blue’s and Symphony’s marriage can be found in a number of stories. Mainly your’s and Colonel Chris’s (as well as others). I guess what I was meaning is; I don’t recall one where it actually happens. I am more than likely wrong; it has been sometime since I’ve read some of the stories. And I have read almost all of then and enjoyed most of them. I do have to admit that some of them had me scratching my head. Still if something makes you think it a good thing.
Weddings: they can be tricky things. Do you write it with detail or leave it up to the readers’ imagination. Me, I was face with a dilemma. Originally I wasn’t even thinking about Blue’s and Symphony’s relationship; it wasn’t on my radar. But when I come to writing the end to A Fated Encounter, well as I’ve said before it asked (or should I say demanded) to be written. For it is the most likely response to that situation. However I’m not romantic (the disaster of my wedding shows that), so how to do it? I think I managed it.
I know that if it (the wedding scene it’s self) gets written, whomever does it will do a good job of it. Where ever it happens.

I pre-write and still make a mistake.

There's a line that should read, "Still if something makes you think, it's a good thing." instead of "makes you think it a good thing". Sorry.

I'm not sure if anyone has actually tackled Blue and Symph's wedding scene ( as in the 'up the aisle stuff' ) although I'm sure I'll be corrected if I'm wrong! However, I am thinking it could make for a good plot bunny round about Valentine's Day.....

But you're right. THE wedding would make a fantastic Valentine Day story and that's what I'm aiming to write... one day. Unfortunately, real life gets in the way and I am not quite ready to tackle that most important event yet for a proper story.
It'll come... eventually. In the meantime, whoever wants to do their own version of the wedding, is more than welcome to present it! Marion mentioned it, and now VMR... I don't remember if there was something done in another story, beside these two.

Thank you for your comments. I enjoy reading your stories as well, especially The Chocolatier’s House (being a chocoholic it had me feeling really hungry) and Blood and Candle Smoke.
It was a real relief to finish ‘A Fated Encounter’, poor Chris had a lot of correcting, querying and tweaking to do on it. Hence, why it took so long to be posted.
As I’ve said before I’ll say again, thank you Colonel.

As for Blue’s and Symphony’s wedding, I know that I enjoy reading it if (more hopefully when) it is written.
