I have spent a long time this evening posting a private message to someone. The first time I was scuppered as I opened up another window to a completely separate topic. That seemed to be enough toI wipe out whatever I was doing in the the earlier ( still open ) forum.

After starting again, I spent considerable time and posted a "preview" message, only go find that the whole lot had been removed ; so, guess what, I have to start again. I don't think I will, actually. I'm pretty pissed off.

Funny you mention this, it happened to me, too! When I hit Preview I was asked for my password again and I had lost the message I was writing as well! I clicked the Previous button a few times and I was able to get it back (and made a quick cut/paste in Notepad just in case). I thought it was my Internet service playing tricks on me, but now I'm starting to think it could be the work of the Mysterons. O O

Sorry, everyone. Not only was my message posted in the wrong thread, it was a little ill-advised. I was just having a bit of a rant after a very long and frustrating day.

Where PMs and posts are concerned, the message seems to be, save, save, save!

Forum are temperamental, and it's not only this one, but others. And actually, any bloody given space where you write stuff DIRECTLY online (blog, comments on eBay, Customer service box, whatever!!!!). So with the last of my messages disappearing on me (a customer service one, no less, into which I was describing the problem I was having, and you can guess that it's never an easy thing to do...), I decided that EVERYTHING I would write directly online will get to be written into a third party media first. Notepad is a good choice, Isabelle. Word is another. That way, if I lose my message, I can find it back again.
