Kim thinks the sudden appearance of the new series upset things, so it would be nice to think the delay means an overview of what has been shown so far.

There's a small interview with a guy from Bandai about the new Captain Scarlet toys and a few cool pictures of them, but the best part of the magazine is the interview with Dominic Lavery which is very interesting and there are loads of really fantastic pictures from his pre-production artwork.
Oh, and there's now a 70% chance that Thunderbirds will be the next show that's made into Hypermarionation and Gerry Anderson is in tlks with Granada right now about it. Kinda sad that maybe Scarlet won't get any further seasons, I thought, as I would love to see it as a long-running show.

Well that's good news! Considering the lukewarm welcome the series seems to have got from some 'fans' here, maybe 'Thunderbirds' is the way to go... still an outstanding original concept (and please, keep it at one hour episodes, or the current TV equivilant)!

I resent the implication that anyone who has been less than totally overwhelmed by CS:CGI is somehow less of a fan than the people who simply declared every episode to the best yet.
Being a fan of something does not mean that you have to leave your critical faculties switched off and welcome everything connected with your subject, however banal it might be. (And - before anyone gets upset - that is a general observation. I do not mean to imply that the new series is banal.)
I am sure that the concerns expressed on this forum have all been generated by a desire to see CS:CGI succeed, even though, in some cases, approval of the new show has been tempered by disappointment at some of the changes made - for whatever reason.

I have to disagree with you. Sadly, I do not think it is 'good news' that Gerry Anderson would tackle a new series. Don't get me wrong: I would feel the same if it was either 'Thunderbirds', 'Stingray', 'Fireball XL5' or any others... I find it a shame that the New Captain Scarlet series, with the wide possibilities the subject presents, would not be given the chance to expand more, and explore new avenues. I already said it elsewhere, I really feel that it would be a series that would gain greatly, if given a couple of years, for example. I also mentioned that, given previous examples with Anderson's series, it would be unlikely to happen.
Why make Thunderbirds when they could continue Scarlet? And WHO would pay for Thunderbirds if Scarlet doesn't make it okay?
And if Scarlet makes it okay - WHY change a winning formula?

Well in the 1960s and 1970s it used to be down to the vagaries of TV film series production. One presumes the Anderson series at least were presold by Lew Grade, and I think only 'Thunderbirds' and 'Captain Scarlet' were still in production when their pilot epsiodes first aired. 'Thunderbirds' was obviously an enormous success, leading to a film but production of the second series was stopped when it failed to sell in the lucrative US TV market. And ironically, 'Captain Scarlet', while still a commerical success, was not perceived as such after 'Thunderbirds'.
Some series, like 'The Champions', sat on TV shelves for close to a year before being scheduled, putting paid to further series as cast and crew had moved on.
One has to assume in the case of 'NCS' that if it is too early to assure a second series, that pitching for a new one means a chance of another sale. If 'NCS' is a success, then the main drawback is it may take another two years to make a second batch of episodes, though the current trend does point to only 13 being screened at a time so if this can be achieved every 6-9 months, the possibility of ongoing epsiodes still remains a possibility.
