This week, it's all fan fiction again... and all New Captain Scarlet, with TWO brand new stories for you to enjoy.
First: this forum's own member, Adam Blue, offers us a Captain Blue-centered story:
SEEING DOUBLE, by Adam Blue. Spectrum has to deal with the return of robotic foes with new surprising tricks up their sleeve. New Captain Scarlet story. ff 493
http://www.spectrum-headquarters.com/fa ... double.htm
Secondly: we offer you a story that had graced the page of Fanfiction.net and for which the author gave us posting permission. This one is a Destiny Angel's point of view story:
GREEN RINGS OF DESPAIR, by Weeping Angel XIII. Destiny is haunted by nightmares of a man she once loved... New Captain Scarlet story. ff 492
http://www.spectrum-headquarters.com/fa ... espair.htm
Have you noticed number 493 sneaking around in the previous text? That's right! We're growing closer to our 500th story's announcement! And since we have a bunch of stories on the way, AND Halloween is just around the corner (oh, all right, still a few months away...), we should be able to reach it pretty quickly!
Come back soon for more!

This summer has been hot with new stories, and the heat continues, as yet again, the Spectrum Headquarters website offers you new entries.
First, a story from a long-time collaborator, that makes a return with a new chapter in her 'Rose Metcalfe' series:
FROM HEAVEN UNTO THE EARTH
by Lezli Farrington. A holiday in New York seemed like a good idea at the time, but the Mysterons have other plans for Scarlet and his young daughter Rose. ff 494
http://www.spectrum-headquarters.com/fa ... _earth.htm
Welcome back Lezli! And thank you for this wonderful gift!
And secondly, although listed on this website, this story is stored onto the Spectrum's Nerve Centre website, which makes it none the less a welcomed addition to the Captain Scarlet fan fiction world:
NOT EVEN IN MY WILDEST DREAMS
by Captain Burgundy & Captain Lime. Captain Scarlet wakes up in sickbay after another brush with death, and from there, unexpected events unfold rapidly. Link to an outside site. ff 495
http://www.captainscarletspectrum.com/c ... Dream.html
Enjoy these two fines stories... and at the same time, take the opportunity to visit other stories written by these authors, which were re-formatted to suit wide-screen presentation.
Those are stories number 494 and 495... and yes, we're drawing closer to the big 500. There's still stories to be posted until next Halloween, people. So come back later for me!
Newest stories are listed on the New Fan Fiction Additions page: http://www.spectrum-headquarters.com/fa ... on_new.htm
And of course, you can reach our entire Archives through this following page (where the link at the top menu will bring you): http://www.spectrum-headquarters.com/page5.html

This week, in tribute to two of our favourite characters - whose birthday is this month - we have a new fan fiction story, written by Marion Woods:
LES LARMES DE LA REINE
by Marion Woods. They say that ‘diamonds are a girl’s best friend’, but that isn’t always true. ff 496

Another update for this week, is the much needed revitalisation of our Links page. Previously, the Links page listed sites in order of inscription and looked like a mess of links and pictures. Now, all the sites are in alphabetical order, with their logo opening the presentation, neatly organised and separated. A rotating yellow star had been apposed to the newest links - either added or repaired - in order to detect them quickly within the link. As a matter of facts, we already have new repaired or added links, so you might want to check it out!

Remember! The Halloween Challenge is approaching, and we hope that many people will be willing to participate - and to send us submissions! Check the Halloween pages for more information, and contact the webmaster!

The links page looks great in its new format and it's good to know that all the links work. I know how hard it its to keep links to other sites up-to-date... "Murder" is probably not an exaggeration.

The Links page has indeed been pruned and I got rid of nearly all the dead links. However, there were a couple of them I kept, because I either think they'll be back or that I need to make a more thorough search to see if they're not hiding somewhere else on the net.
If ever you discover links that would fit well in this page, please let me know, and I will add them!

By the way, I'm always on the lookout for good fan fiction stories featuring our team of courageous heroes, so I often go on Google to make a search with the key words "Captain Scarlet" and "fan fiction". Did you notice WHICH website comes up repeatedly lately?
