Well the top part of the uniform is body armour. Gotta have some depth to protect the wearer.

Thank you, Capt Canary! If I did more of it myself, perhaps the abbreviation would have been apparent :lol:

I did wonder if it referred to the title of a forthcoming fanfic, but of course HW could also be short for homework which is equally boring and therefore always up for possible distraction! ( I speak personally here, having found myself on the forum when I should be polishing up an assignment for my writing class.)

Yea, I hated homework even more than I hate housework, and I always used to draw The Angels, or an SPV, or write a short story when I was meant to be doing my homework. It's not so easy to do that, with a vaccume in your hand, though, is it?

I find that the Inspiration Fairy visits whilst doing the housework, and I have to stop to write the idea down before I forget it! I am the person who brazenly sat writing fanfic in my A-level Biology class, mind you...

(I'm a teacher myself now, so I can no longer condone such behaviour, of course :wink:

)

To me 'HW' is actually 'homework' rather than 'housework', but I suppose the idea is the same for both.

I found doing the ironing was a magnet for the Inspiration Fairy - back in the days when I used to DO the ironing. Of course, you have to stop to write it down, which is a good reason to STOP doing the ironing... so it's a win-win situation! :angel)
