Their names only is enough for them to be accepted as members of Spectrum if they were to apply!

(We might add new rules as we play...)

First applicant: Sir, Percy Blakeney, The Scarlet Pimpernel (obviously! :wink:

)

Reaction: "Sink me! But we must do something drastic about these sorry-looking uniforms! I wear only the latest fashion, what?"

(Don't actually need a reaction, but sorry... I couldn't resist! :wink:

Well, you would think of him, wouldn't you, Marion? I also enjoy a dashing hero in elegant doublet and hose - such as we saw in the film with the handsome Mr Flynn. Ah, I how I wish I could have been part of those days of chivalry when men were men and women were glad of it.

Another real hero now - assuming that Robin Hood et al are quasi-fictious, at least -

The Black Douglas - James, (circa 1286 – August 25, 1330) 9th (I think) Lord of Douglas and scourge of the English during the Scottish Wars of Independence, where he fought alongside Robert The Bruce.

Nancy Wake - born in New Zealand, brought up in Australia, was a British agent working with the French Resistance in World War II. The Gestapo called her The White Mouse.

The one in SFX is the one in the movie - That's Hal Jordan, Green Lantern of Sector 2814. There's thousands of Green Lanterns in the Universe, patrolling each a huge sector. Earth, as it should be, has many Lanterns (five at the last count), but Jordan is the most popular and the best of them all.

My addition this time. Green Lantern's buddy, according to the comic strips, and one of the heroes of Smallville:
