Who could be the star?

Yeah that kinda ticked me off too. The only proper English characters left are White and Rhapsody.

I remember someone saying once that my wolvo accent is stronger if I'm out of the city. I seem to develope a southern clip to it when I'm actually in wolverhampton.

I can second that!

Last time I was in London I asked for directions and the guy said 'Oh god you're from Wolverhampton' and didn't help me out because of that reason!

Investigating look-alikes of public figures who themselves are also public figures, I chanced to find a photograph of Robert Pattinson side by side with one of his fellow British actors, a certain Thomas Sidney Jerome "Tom" Sturridge. Intrigued, I decided to investigate him in more detail.

He proved to bear an astonishing physical resemblance to the Paul Metcalfe we know as Captain Scarlet! Look.

There's more. He was born in 1985, giving him an age in his middle twenties; he was born ON 21 December, four days after the 17 December birthday of the late WAAF Special Forces colonel; he's an Old Wykehamist, as Paul Metcalfe was before enrolling in West Point; and when I played video clips of him, he proved to bear an astonishing VOCAL resemblance to Metcalfe as well!

In the photo I have posted, it is difficult to see his eyes, but I have seen larger photos that do show them clearly; they are indeed blue in colour--just like Captain Scarlet's.

All of this raises one question: Could Tom Sturridge star as Captain Scarlet in a live-action production?

Any responses either way are welcomed.

I've been watching 'Star trek: Enterprise' a lot and I could see some of the actors playing roles in Captain Scarlet.

Scott Bakula (Captain Jon Archer and Sam from 'Quantum Leap') could pull off Captain Ochre or even Colonel White with the correct make up.

Linda Park (Ensign Hoshi Sato) could play Harmony Angel.

Anthony Montgomery (Ensign Travis Mayweather) could play Lieutenant Green.

Actually, looking at those pictures, it occurs to me that Rhapsody's eyebrows have lost all connection with her eyes! They seem to be mid-forehead... Perhaps she's really Permanently-Surprised Angel?

I've found two other actors who could play Rhapsody Angel. The one is in the show Emmerdale and the other is a background character in one of the Austin Powers movies. Once I find the screencaps and their names, I'll share them. It's a shame there isn't a botton that allows you to add images from your personal files.

One of my mates pointed out that former Girls Aloud singers Nicola and Kimberly could actually play Rhapsody and Symphony.

Oh, I know; one has to be so careful with such things. Not that I have ever had recourse to such procedures, of course, but I know friends who have been compelled to undergo the odd 'nip and tuck'. Poor dears.

I meant to put this name for a long time!

For Scarlet, an actor who at the moment could be perfect: Karl Urban, better known as Julius Caesar in Xena, Warrior Princess, Eomer, in Lord of the Rings, Leonard Bones McCoy, in the latest Star Trek movie, and very soon, Judge Dredd, in the upcoming movie of the same title. He's tall, dark, good-looking. The only thing missing are the blue eyes, but that's one of the reasons they invented contact lenses, don't they? :wink:

And just to show he can play action and that the colour red becomes him, two pics from... RED.
