So imagine Captain Indigo, as a female, but...
Moderator: Spectrum Strike Force
Here is a bio I put together:
Andrea Laurence is my current name. I am otherwise known as Captain Indigo, wing man to Captain Scarlet aiding him in his fight against the Mysterons. Likewise with Captain Blue, we do a lot of assignments together as I have only recently graduated as a Captain in Spectrum.
Captain Black murdered me when I was working in a hunting lodge, and I was reconstructed as a Mysteron agent. When this was revealed by a Mysteron Detector, Doctor Fawn put my dead body through a reconstruction. In my original body I was a male, Adam Laurence, though I have no recollection of it. My original body could not operate as "human" again, so, millions of dollars later, I was designed as a woman under the belief that I could use my sass, and charm to woe enemies.
I have no sense of childhood, nor do I recollect any past relationships, but I live my new life serving a great purpose for Spectrum.

I know some people might despise this idea. But I thought it was worth a post. I'm sure fans adding their own ideas, insight, and perhaps creating their own part of the story could add to making this a much more effective character addition.
I tried to compensate for the loyal Scarlet fans by not making Indigo any kind of replacement of Scarlet.

There's no reason why, after a suitable period to account for people's sensibilities a lady Captain Indigo couldn't be recruited and used in fan fic stories by authors.
One thing I personally would have trouble with, is any one other than Scarlet being retrometabolised by the Mysterons and yet not working for them while retaining their retrometabolic skills - which I think is what you're suggesting your Lady Indigo does?
You do say:
Doctor Fawn put my dead body through a reconstruction.
but Fawn doesn't know what exactly retrometabolism is - or how it works. Therefore, I can't see how he'd be able to 'create' a female Indigo from scratch giving it the retrometabolic attributes of the dead Captain Indigo. Reconstruction also suggests he used the original body, not some handy cadavar - otherwise what exactly is he 'reconstructing'?
Indigo did recover from the gunshot, but Scarlet then zapped him with the electron rifle - the only thing - or so we are told - guaranteed to kill a Mysteron. Either way, poor old Indie is dead by the end of 'Spectrum Strikes Back'.
If Fawn did manage to find a handy dead female body to cannibalise with Indie's 'soul' (for want of a better term and not quite following what you're talking about here) I hope he'd find some way of assuring the new Indie could walk and talk and point a gun, without needing to chew its tongue as it did so. The lady in the picture looks somewhat gormless... or is she trying for 'cute?

I would be more interested to hear your thinking behind the suggestions you made than to see the pictures...

Not to override what happened in the original episodes but for her to be brought back in a new form, formerly a he, and working for Spectrum again as they are needing more agents working for the organization and trying to learn more about the Mysteron's.
If Indigo had kept some Mysteron traits during her transformation and body transplant then she would become a strong asset and be a lot closer to Captain Scarlet than the rest.
I think it would be cool that they could rely on more than just one agent to really do the heavy work, ya know?

That has been the case in other Gerry Anderson works.
