Looking for info on The Spectrum (rock group)

Hi,

I am looking for any information on the '60s rock group The Spectrum (best known for performing the Captain Scarlet theme in later episodes of the show). I wasn't able to find much info on the WWW, aside from a sketchy bio and a list of singles.

I noticed that the FAB fanzine (#45) printed an interview with the band's guitarist, Tony Atkins. Could someone out there transcribe or scan the interview for me? I'd really appreciate it...

In particular, I'd like to know how the band ended up with the SAME NAME as the Captain's organization. And were they really supposed to be the British answer to The Monkees?

Any clues would be appreciated!
