Jamie Bamber has the look, and the acting talent to pull off Scarlet.
But not the AGE! He's in his middle thirties; NO actor chosen as Captain Scarlet should EVER be older than his late twenties. By that criterion, a previous choice of mine for Captain Scarlet, Matthew Waterhouse from seasons 18 and 19 of Doctor Who, no longer meets that requirement.

As far as I am aware, the age of Captain Scarlet in both OCS and NCS bios is given as thirty-two at ( presumably) the time of the Mysteron war.
From a character point of view, this would seem reasonably realistic considering the career objectives achieved.
From a celebrity/age point of view, most actors in their twenties look about fifteen - certainly not plausible for someone who has achieved as much as Scarlet has.
As an aside, I actually thought Jamie Bamber looked a little young to be Scarlet - although, I admit I was watching the first series of Battlestar Galactica, which was a few years ago. However, it does illustrate my point about actors looking younger than they probably are.

I don't know when the photo was taken - I assume off-duty "Battlestar Galactica", judging by the Abercrombie & Fitch tee-shirt !

I came across this gentleman while watching my daughter's collection of 'House' DVDs. His name is Nestor Carbonell. I understand he has also been in something called 'Lost'.
I think he could pass as OCS Black and he'd make an excellent NCS Captain Black - especially given that Lefkon had a Greek mother (by her name at least) and Nestor is a Greek name - in mythology he was an Argonaut and fought in the Trojan Wars as well.

(And I think you mean "reproduce" rather than "falsify")

I don't think the voice artistes, directors and background story writers were in the same room together very often. A case of "Hello, Left Hand, may I introduce Right Hand?", I think.

These do exist. I live 'south of the Trent' now, and my husband is a southerner who thought that beyond Watford Gap there was nowt but dark, satanic mills, flat-caps and whippets. But I come from 'north of the Trent' (via 3 years studying in Yorkshire) and my accent will slip from one region to another. When I'm at work, I find my comfortable, flat northern vowels mutate into 'cap' and 'glarse' rather than 'Cup' and 'glass' - which I use when speaking to my sisters and other northern exiles. My husband can always tell if I've been speaking to another northerner because it shows in my accent- and my daughter (especially when small) used to use different pronounciations to her dad than to me. With me it was 'bathtime' with Daddy it was 'barthtime'.
I see no reason to doubt that Scarlet might well do the same as unconsciously as she did, and I still do.
Please note: the 'phonetic' spellings are only intended as examples - I can't think of another way to explain what I mean. The 'boo-hiss' comment is merely becasue I was disappointed that NCS didn't even let us (the British) keep one 'superhero' all of our own.
