Black walking in the rain

Hi, folks - adding my own two cents to this thread with a montage of my own!
The following image was done with a combination of PhotoDeluxe and Photoshop. It was supposed to be used for a Christmas Challenge story for 2009, but obviously, I won't have time to write it, so I thought I might as well share it with you here:

The montage for Black himself required about 10 various pieces - all taken from different sources, either pictures of the 'real' puppet Black (for the face and some parts of the leather coat), or models found on the net (arms, legs, most of the body, scarf, other parts of the coat...) For realism, I used a walking 'model' as template onto which I pasted the various parts and blended them into one another. Then I pasted the whole onto the background I found of the Tower Bridge (a picture taken on a clear night - I had to add an umbrella for the couple in the background). This part was done with PhotoDeluxe.
The rain effect was done in PhotoShop: rain itself, impacts on the ground, character and various objects, light effects, and water-covered sidewalk.

Hi Chris thats some fab work you did there must have took a lot of time,it's very poetic too and i can't help wondering what is Conrad thinking and the story behind the art.It would be great if some moments from the Captain Scarlet stories here were illustrated in that same style ,that would be really great,anyway well done and i love seeing new Captain Scarlet connected art,keeps this great show alive. Ian.

That's fabulous, Chris! You are so clever with the manips.
Why is he in such an apparent hurry to get away from Tower Bridge? Is one or more of the tourist boats that chug up and down the Thames going to be in for a nasty surprise, or does he have bigger prey in mind? Will you write the story one day? Hope so!

It's very enigmatic .
I'm not sure if he really is keen to get away from Tower Bridge, as Hazel suggests, or if he is simply trying to huddle up against the weather and that gives him a slightly shifty look.
Excellent picture, though!

I imagine that he is strolling away with a sense of a job well done, as he watches Scarlet's dead body bobbing in the Thames.... but then I am evil.
