Anyway,
When you hear the mention of Captain Scarlet in one of your other favourite shows, you try and find it on youtube afterwards.
It happened on Gladiators. The event commentator, john Sachs, made a reference to a male contender in red, saying, off like Captain Scarlet on a mission! Madness, I tell ya.

or "WHO is the guy all over your walls? and your computer?"
This usually ends up with my playing one of the music videos for them, after a quick explanation which includes he is the only man i need in my life, thank you. then, after the video is over I say "I hope that answered all your questions."
the people come back so it coudln't ahve been all that traumatic.
they do look at me funny when i show them that the doll next to my computer talks.
however, a few people seem to get it. these few are cherished friends!

(For those that don't know, Crataegus is the botanical name/latin name for the plant, Hawthorn. But you may have to take the name Hawthorn - which is a 'common name' for the plant - with a pinch of salt as it may be called something in the area local to you)

You want to know where to get such a plant and if it needs to planted in your yard or kept in a pot inside.

We've got several of these in the gardens surrounding my flat. Very pretty.

Especially if you are in the vicinity of New York/north New Jersey and it's a *DELTA* gas station...!
