Colonel White's desk

The Spectrum HQ administration have received this in an email over the week-end:

I have a little query.
I am looking for a photo or blueprint or color guide for the rotating desk of C.white.
Do you know where I can find something?

I have never seen a blueprint for the desk - not that I have been looking for one, I have to say.
I think the best thing to do would be to check out the actual episodes and piece one together from shots of it. Looking at my picture collection, 'White as Snow' seems to have quite a few good views of the desk, from various angles, including one of Captain Scarlet standing behind the empty desk - although, I'm sure it isn't the only episode that would have useful views. For instance, 'Inquisition' has a good shot of the whole desk too, and 'Manhunt' - towards the end - and that's with a very preliminary check.
I wouldn't like to post too many pictures on the forum, but let me know if I can help.

I seem to recall that the layout of the desk was not consistent from one episode to the next, so a definitive layout may not be possible. Marion's suggestion of piecing it together is probably the best way to go, especially as it might highlight where the inconsistencies are.

Yes, I'd agree with that - the sequence of colour 'lights' doesn't always seem to be the same.
Maybe Lt. Green moves them about, just to keep the 'Old Man' on his toes? Rather like these Memory Clinics the British Government is advocating to keep minds active and delay the onset of dementia...
Now... where did I put my car keys? :wink:
