Secondary Characters - list their appearances .
Moderator: Spectrum Strike Force
I keep seeing the various drivers or scientists and thinking 'they've used that one for someone else.'
so, can we come up with a list of the "extras" and what roles they "played"????
for naming them, to keep them straight, i think referring to them by their first role would work. then we could say 'Indigo marionette was also the reporter in the Launching" and so on.
i have several of the 'extra's that i recognize, but i haven't mapped out their appearances yet. But hey, I'm only on my second run through the series since I rediscovered it after 36 years. Surley you board vetrans can just list this like it is nothing......
it ought to be amusing, if nothing else.

Considering that almost every single puppet outside of the regulars plays more than one character, this will be a pretty huge list. Indeed, to my memory only two guest puppets play unique characters in the series: one of Kruger's henchman in "The Heart of New York" and one of the doctors in "Treble Cross" I don't recall appearing anywhere else. The World President doesn't count because although he reprised that character in seperate episodes, even he later became Dr Sommers in "Expo 2068".
A lot of these puppets also reappeared in Joe 90 and The Secret Service, including the regulars. Even Captain Scarlet himself. Perhaps the most notable is Sam Loover in Joe 90, whom in Captain Scarlet portrayed the Lunar Controller ("Lunarville 7"), Rhodes ("Noose of Ice"), the Supreme Commander of Earth Forces ("Point 783") Dr Denton ("Place of Angels") President Roberts ("The Launching") and Colgan ("The Inquisition").

He is the David Morse of the puppet world, having supportive roles everywhere! Hopefully it built up his resume and he managed to get a good solid role for himself eventually.
are you wanting where that particular photo is from? I"ll have to ponder the uniform.
but i do think this will be a fun game. hopefully others will agree.

I thought to give it a day or two and then post another one.
(Thinks: should have numbered the picture for people to refer to.
Lets call this one number 001, shall we?

He is also the piano player at the restaurant in 'The Inquisition'.
Any more from anyone?

According to one of the episode guides, this revamp puppet was used eleven times in total, and had the unique distinction of appearing as three different characters in 'Inquisition'.
Other notable appearences were as General Ward in 'Avalanche', Schroeder in 'Crater 101', Dr Baxter in 'Treble Cross' and as the pilot of the SKR4 recovery vehicle in 'Inferno'.

Can anybody help with this? Hopefully the answers can be collated into a definitive list of where the 'retreads' appear, so even if the list has moved on and you notice an appearance by a previous 'character actor' - add the details to the thread.
Thanks.

This puppet IS notable for being the character of Shane Weston in Joe 90, where he changed his hair colour to black.
