WAAF logo possibilities
Moderator: Spectrum Strike Force
The World Army-and-Air Force logo, as I envision it, is based at least partially on the old VMF/VMA-214 "Black Sheep Squadron" logo in terms of shape. But instead of the F4U Corsair surmounting it, there are ordinary aviator's wings in metallic gold, and it is kelly-green in background color. On the patch are four blue-against white global hemispheres, each with a red letter emblazoned atop it. This represents the shield of the old World Army and the wings of the old World Air Force.
If someone else has bothered to design one, this message invites that someone else to describe it, using my description as a partial model for theirs. Apololgies in advance if my description proves to be wrong.

On Page 43 he speaks of (and I am assuming Chris Bentley is a 'he' - although I know it is not always the case, is it Colonel Chris?

World Navy at Atlantica (well, at least for most of the show, eh, Captains Blue and Ochre

World Aquanaut Security Patrol at Marineville
World Space Patrol at Space City
World Police (HQ in Paris)
Supreme Headquarters Earth Forces (SHEF) also encompasses the World Army and the World Army Air Force sited at strategic bases in every World Government member country.
So far so good and clear.
However - and don't you just know that there will be an 'however' in the Anderverse? - in the notes for the TV episode 'The Trap', Chris Bentley describes 'Commander Goddard' as being in the World Air Force and the conference he's organising as being of 'high-ranking officers of the World Air Force'.
Now, if the WAAF and the World Air Force is the same thing, then any logos worn by any of the delegates, including Goddard, are the WAAF logos...
I might also add that I have seen a WAAF logo on a uniform worn by a picture of Captain Scarlet that DID NOT make it to the final edition of the 2007 calendar.
I believe that this picture was (until recently) used as an avatar by one of my Mod Colleagues...

If you are talking about the picture that wasn't included in the calendar, I can't help you.
If you mean the avatar, it is no longer in use.
Unless the person concerned is kind enough to post the picture there's nothing further I can do.

I described my own design for the WAAF logo because I did not know what the official one was. Maybe the Colonel would know, being de facto keeper of the archives and all that.

And yes, Chris Bentley is a man. Nice guy, used to be Chairman of Fanderson.

I'd just like to clear up one possible misunderstanding about the 'archives': much of the information available is already posted on the website. It is drawn from previously published sources, and was collated and presented by Chris Bishop (without whom we'd all be left floundering! Respect to the Colonel!

It may well be that there never was an official WAAF insignia created - or even that it varied from series to series, because I doubt that, at the time, the programme makers took it as seriously as some Anderfans do - more than 40 years later.
Insignia, other than those clearly displayed on puppet costumes, could be regarded as no more than 'graphic' fan fic.
That said, another possible source for an 'official' design, might be the TV21 comics.

I meant - check out the picture of Scarlet that WAS used in the 2007 calendar and see if there was a logo on that.
I can't show you the other picture that wasn't used - it isn't one of mine - and the Mod in question has changed her avatar.
Sorry.

Looks like Parker (and I) can continue our designing (and 'making') 'our' version.

Luvmylops provided us with this picture, taken from one of the TV21 strips. We could see a logo on the helmet of a World Army soldier. Might be one of many badges worn by the various sections of the WAAF:

A bit of caution - this is a recolorised version (although an excellent work!

So, technically, there is no published/posted 'unofficial' WAAF logo, is there?

As I said - a WAAF logo could be considered as a graphic fan fic - so anyone can do anything they like (unless it went against something shown on the TV show and regarded as 'canon') - regardless of what went before. You were always free to design your own...

No. 18 is World Army, no. 19 is World Air Force and no. 20 is World Navy.

A possibility IF I wanted to go with it.
