Who could be the star?

Thanks MMK, but I think Google found those pages and the picture there isn't that informative - so I still can't decide if the actor would do.
I suppose in some ways a live action movie wouldn't have to have look-alikes in it anyway - the Thunderbirds Mockery (sorry, live action movie) didn't have actors who looked like the characters - at least not in the case of the 4 older Tracy boys. And please don't ask me which one was which... :roll:

I could believe in Lady P and Parker though - even though she was driving a Ford... :shock:

She was not half bad looking. Sorry, wandering but she would damn good in a live-action Scarlet. Indeed so.

Having just watched 'Blade Runner' at the cinema ( :grin:

), I can't help but think that Rutger Hauer would have made a good Captain Blue, about 25 years ago.

I like the idea or I guess, would have liked, the idea of Rutger Hauer some years ago playing Blue. He's played Germans and what have you, so playing Blue would've been a synch.

Being a bit of a new guy here, I assume that you know that Pierce Brosnan did actually want to play Captain Scarlet about 5-10 years ago and used to ring Gerry about the possibility of doing a film.(sorry if its old news)
I liked the idea but he would still have been a little too old at the time.

I had no idea that he'd actually expressed an interest in live-action Scarlet, either. He must be a fan! Makes sense, I suppose - he was 14/15 at the time Scarlet was originally airing, so presumably he must have watched it.

Right...discussed an NCS version of live-action movie with my mom...these are her thoughts, not mine, for an 'all-star' cast

Scarlet: Daniel Craig
Blue: Johnny Depp/David Tennant??!! (To add more character to him)
Black: Colin Farrell
White: George Clooney/William Peterson (From CSI: Las Vegas)
Ochre: Drew Barrymore (Coz she's down to earth)
Destiny: Jessica Simpson/Reese Witherspoon (Legally Blonde...)
Green: I still think Halle Berry, but mom says it's a waste. She thinks Minnie Driver, or that girl out of Bend It Like Beckham.
Magenta: Antonio Banderas, because she says it doesn't matter he's Spanish.
Gold: Jack Nicolson, to give the role the right amount of sinister...

Anyone agree with any of these?

Scarlet - not sure about Daniel Craig (he would HAVE to dye his hair black, of course :wink:

White - I think I agree with you about William Petersen (as long as he doesn't have facial hair)
