Photographs

Now, how is it possible for them to be impervious to X-rays, and not being able to be photographed?
I'm open to any theories that you might have!!

Okay, would I be correct in ascertaining, that they would cause the part of the film to be overexposed, thus causing a "silhouette" image?
And would this same effect happen with even digital imaging?

As for Flight 104 ... I've always though it was actually something to do with the little device Scarlet screwed into his button, that it acted as a 'shader' of sorts. Should imagine all Spectrum agents have/use them to protect their identites.
No idea how it'd work, that's totally not my specialist subject.

I haven't a clue what it means... but it's as good an answer as any, I guess...

Drake/Bassett book on CS - they mention that the 'X-ray machines' in CS are 'an improvement on today's process of Nuclear Magnetic Resonance, which causes molecules to emit radiation.'
I had to chuckle at that one...as all chemical analysis techniques..of which NMR is one...are based on the principle of exciting materials to a higher energy state with various frequencies of electromagnetic radiation and observing the energy emitted on return to the lower level (original) state.
Strictly speaking, NMR is based upon the magetic property of the nucleus of an atom, rather than the entire molecule...the latter is the domain of the Infra-Red part of the electromagnetic spectrum...

It could be possibly a "Photo Detector"- type device (similar to what was used in Thunderbirds.....but in a miniaturized form), that can also be switched on, to produce the "shadowed" effect on film.
**As I remember correctly, International Rescue's Photo Detector, was attuned for detecting the silver in standard camera film and for magnetic video film.
However, the jury is still out on whether it would've reacted to digital imaging apparatus.

For the Mysteron gun: http://www.spectrum-headquarters.com/armament.html
For the detector: http://www.spectrum-headquarters.com/va ... pment.html
Now, to answer your question - which should really belong in another thread - I don't see why Black wouldn't survive a blast from the Mysteron gun, either he's a Mysteron agent or not. Considering it uses high voltage electricity, it is more than likely that the gun would be able to kill human and Mysteron alike, without any discrimination.
The jury is still out regarding Scarlet, as even if his powers come from the Mysterons, it might be that they are triggered by his will, and that even the Mysteron gun (or electricity) would not be able to kill him.
On another question - to return to our topic - it is possible that the Mysteron detector might NOT be efficient if used on Black. We still don't know if he's a controlled human or reconstructed Mysteron agent. The debate on that subject is still raging, but the question is interesting.
