It's a very imaginative exploration of what may have been going on behind the scenes. The fact that you didn't attempt to recreate all of the scenes in the episode was well thought out. It was much more effective to show the eventual outcome through the eyes of others.
Without giving away any spoilers, the fact that Scarlet did not have back up when he ended up at the diner was because of a manpower shortage is an interesting idea! I suppose even an organisation as big as Spectrum will have those issues from time to time, but I hadn't given it much thought before now
I also think that Blue's "interior monologue" scene in Dr Gold's office works well and the way it's written does convey the sense that he feels as if he's in a nightmare. You said you'd struggled with the tenses, but all you needed to do was revise the first paragraph to fit the rest of the scene and it would have hung together perfectly.
So, well done! This story shows you're really maturing as a writer. More like this, please!

First, for the fanfiction: a brand new chapter of "Murky Waters" has just been posted! Chapter 9 continues the story, as Captain Scarlet and Rhapsody Angel must face Mysterons as well as an unscrupulous band of young thugs out for blood!

The good news, people: there's only three parts lefts, and they're now confirmed for posting soon!
For merchandising: years after Canada, France finally releases a Region 2, PAL format for the French version of Captain Scarlet. The first 16 episodes are now available in a boxset entitled, rightly enough "Capitaine Scarlet, Coffret 1", and should be available next week. You can order your copy on Amazon.fr, using the link found on this page:

Also on the merchandising front: our Australian friends have decided to pay tribute to Gerry Anderson, who left us at the end of last year, by re-releasing their "Gerry Anderson Collection" DVD boxset. Now called "Gerry Anderson Commemorative Collection", this boxset of 15 discs contains all the episode of Captain Scarlet, Stingray and Joe 90. The boxset can be ordered online at EzyDVD.com.au. And yes, they do international shipping. You just need to be sure that you own a player that can read those discs!
