PRIORITY ONE RAINBOW RED: New Captain Scarlet series 2 DVD
Moderator: Spectrum Strike Force
Thanks for your post. There is a bit of a story behind my review too. Originally, I wrote a review with a very specific example from the second series which I thought might capture the imagination of people who knew nothing about either NCS or OCS.
I described the scene in Virus where Blue crashes through the barrier on the mountain road and explained how Scarlet saved the day. I used specifics - the knocking out of Blue, the extending of the Cheetah's wings, the jet engines failing, roof ejection and finally the dramatic scene where Scarlet protected Blue from death by using his own back to crash through the trees.
The result - 2 out of 2 people found my review unhelpful!

I was a little surprised that the 2 negative responses were not wiped out when I completely reworded my review but they weren't. At least, all subsequent replies were favourable.

The result - 2 out of 2 people found my review unhelpful!I quickly replaced my original comments with ones that I had used for Series 2 as I certainly didn't want to be responsible for undermining sales on a series that I believe will ultimately be regarded as a classic (with more publicity).

Hmm, just goes to prove that you've got to be careful what you say then it seems! I actually haven't got the NCS official DVDs yet, in fact I wasn't even aware there was a combined boxset! I thought they were only available separately. My local HMV seems to have them in from time to time, but generally are out of stock! I'll pick them up one day!
