Pros
1. The sea. Wow...nice!! Obviously a lot of effort went into it!
2. Flirting. Hahaha. I love how Eden just said whatever popped into his head and Green flirted back in that slightly sarcastic way I thought was reserved for Captain Magenta. I remember my mom watching this episode, and she remarked on what she thought could be euphemisms ('Can I take a look at its circuit boards?' etc.), creating some rather sordid but funny jokes, that I will not repeat, including the words 'Dinghy' and 'Destroyer'. I will go and wash my mouth out now...
3. Silver! She's had an extremely long vacation, the last time we saw her being Swarm, but now she’s back. There is nothing to her, we have no idea what personality she has, but she is most definitely one of my favourite characters. Plus I think she's gorgeous. Very unusual looking.
4. Greens expressions when faced with robot things. When she first heard them hammering on the door, she looked scared, then anxious. When she started shooting them it was like she couldn't believe it, and then starting enjoying it. A pretty wide range in those few moments anyway.
5. Ending. I liked it...the conversation between White, Scarlet and Green seemed real. I think what Green meant by 'I'd rather stay with you', is, really, saying she'd rather be a lieutenant (again...she'd already said it).
For another type of example thing (I have to get what I think across here...), I'm going to say if Scarlet was offered some sort of business change by White, he may say. 'I'd rather stay in battle.' Technically, he’s not in battle at that moment, but he'd rather stay in that position. Get it? I'm surprised if anyone does, I'm talking waffle.
Cons
1. None really, apart from the line 'Say hello to the junkyard!!' which was a bit...cheesy. Serena's obviously been hanging round Adam a lot recently...
Little Things
1. May be my imagination (probably is...it always is), but I think Green looks as if she’s going to hug Scarlet in the ending. When she walks through the door, she doesn't look at the Colonel, like she doesn't notice he's there or something, and she lifts both arms sort of up and forwards. Then, she sees that the Great White Chief is present, and drops her arms. She and Scarlet do seem to have a very good totally platonic friendship, so I guess it could be a possibility. Don't know how Destiny would react though, even if they are just friends!!
2. The whole gun thing. That gun has red on it, it is Scarlets! But he only has one gun and its with him! Where did it come from?
Bloopers
1. When Holsar (Or whoever he is) walks past Green near the start, her hand does a weird jerky movement and shifts position.
2. Disappearing/reappearing ammo and Spectratechs. You know what I mean.
3. Near the start, Greens hair is real short at the back.
4. When the green light coming from the computer hits Green, she lands with her arms by her sides and her eyes open. But when she wakes up, her eyes are closed and one arm is over her stomach and the other is up near her head.
5. 'Aquired'. Oh no...
6. Whites belt is missing at the end.

I though the guys who did the sea and waves did a truly wonderful job – very convincing indeed. I wish I could say the same for the explosions but for some reason, and in spite of the obvious effort, I feel that they are a weakness compared with the pyrotechnics from the puppet series.
There was little that was thought provoking in this episode but I liked the design and animation of the robot drones. The drones remind me of ‘30 Minutes After Noon’ from Thunderbirds where 3 robots had to be neutralised by the ray machine. In fact, it was Brayman from Sun Probe making 3 appearances! In Proteus, I counted 9 drones being shot or disabled (including the one on the navy guy’s screen).
Much of this episode seemed to be a showcase for Lieutenant Green and I must say that her voice artist, Jules de Jongh, is the best of the female artists. She can be very authoritative such as when she was requesting the evacuation of the Mall in Contact. My favourite moment for Green is in Instrument of Destruction when she whirls round on her swivel chair when she realises that Destiny is alive and attempting to crash land on Skybase.
The episode highlight for me has to be the ‘haymaker’ right hook punch delivered by the drone that sneaks up behind Scarlet (the one that subsequently grabs him by the throat). No doubt all the drones movements were motion captured but this punch was just hilarious and I feel sure the MoCap Team must have enjoyed that particular moment.

I'm with Father Unwin on Jules de Jongh's performance as voice artist. She really manages to make Green very believable. The graphics were excellent, particularly Green's facial expressions. She does have those fabulous eyes - OK, I know they can be a bit over-the-top and cow-like, when they didn't quite get the graphics right, but for the most part, it all looked good in this episode.
There did seem to be a few instances when red guns apparently appeared out of nowhere in someone's hand, but maybe I wasn't following closely enough. I did simply just watch it again, no slo-mo or zooming !
Wasn't sure whether or not the Angels were "in" on the act at the beginning, when they were trying to attack Proteus. You would think they would be, but the surprise in their voices when it "disappeared", suggested they thought it was for real. If I had been Destiny and Co., I wouldn't have been too impressed at being hoodwinked by my colleagues in such a manner, even if Col White thought he needed to make the experiment believable !
The robots were good, although I was a bit surprised when Scarlet asked what they were for - seemd fairly obvious when he had been told the ship was manned by only three people ! He spends so much time furrowing his brow with earnest concentration, he clearly misses vital things !

The Animation - Some real good stuff - probably one of the best consistantly animated although I do agree with Father Unwin about the explosions - they never really were not as good as they could have been.
Other - Love the double gun wielding!!

Captain Green doesn't quite have the same ring to it though, does it?

If I'm honest, I'm not keen on Green's character voice, it's just so stereotypical 'computer voice' (if you get what I mean). Not keen on this episode really, but favourite moments consist of when Col White gets shot (poor fella!), and Green turning the promotion down. Everything else I've thought has already been said, so I'll just echo the thoughts on the water (something that has always seemed difficult to do - especially if you look at console games upto the Dreamcast, so very well done indeed on that.
