Childhood Nightmares
Moderators: chrisbishop, Spectrum Strike Force
I used to have consistent nightmares about Captain Black and other Mysteron agents trying to kill me. In one nightmare, my own mother had been reconstructed by the Mysterons!
I also had nightmares about Captain Scarlet infiltrating our home and attempting to ensure that I met with a grisly fate. You can imagine the terror when I went to a Gerry Anderson convention only a week later and I was asked if I wanted my photograph taken with a giant Captain Scarlet cardboard cut-out.
Anyone else had any childhood nightmares involving Scarlet?

At the age I got into Anderson shows (eight-ish) there were a few moments of Thunderbirds which scared the hell out me. I couldn't bring myself to watch 'attack of the alligators' until fairly recently.
Where as Scarlet didn't phase me at all, yeah I was a weird little kid.
As it was I was a rabid 'shipper even then. So if anything my dreams were mushy Mills & Boon style epics about Blue & Symphony (I also shipped Scarlet & Destiny), with an endearing childhood innocence.
Of course now things have progress to very very impure thoughts about Ochre.

Now there's a nice mental picture!!

I have very few CS dreams, but I've had quite a few Thunderbirds dreams.....mostly with Gordon &/or Virgil!!

I was stranded on a remote planet and rescued by the crew of Fireball XL5.

Later when I got hooked on reading TV21 I dreamt that I had invented a new deadly toy that saved Agent 21's life.

As far as CS is concerned I had many a daydream (having joined TV21's Spectrum Shades) that I'd take part in some dangerous mission and despite all odds somehow save the day. I might add this vision was desperately short on actual detail.

I was in a car with Captains Blue and Scarlet..and then all of a sudden, this huge wind picked up....and the car went hurtling out of control heading towards a great cliff....and the words came up in flaming red technicolour (like a movie title!!!) The Day the Sun Turned Blue!!!...and then I woke up with my heart pounding in my chest...
I can still remember the vividness of it to this very day..
silly..now that I look back...

Well anyways, we were at a drive-in movie in a Spectrum Patrol Car, and we saw something that had elements of "Seek And Destroy", "Renegade Rocket" & "Treble Cross" all in one movie.
Now comes the REALLY REALLY weird part; In this movie, Captain Black eventually appeared on Colonel White's main viewscreen, he was wearing a black floor-length trenchcoat and had this evil grin on his face. And then, (hang onto your popcorn!) HE FLASHED AND EXPOSED HIMSELF!!!!!

*I remind you all, that this was JUST a dream!*

That's funny!

Actually, I had taken some cold medicine right before going to bed.

Which then, caused the screen to explode! *BOOM!!!* It was the persistant buzz of my alarm, that finally woke me up!

I WAS going to post "The majority of the daydreams I've had are: me experimenting on the best way to kill Captain Black"
But I can't top your dream...

(reading this discussion has brightened up my day, though).
