Gerry Anderson Fonts and Dingbats

As I was telling Shaqui, my old computer went to the great electronic store in the sky. So here I am with a new machine that does everything except give me a massage, thinking: I need my old fonts back. So away I trot to my favourite site for free fonts: www.dafont.com. And lo and behold, they seem to have added some interesting new ones:

They are free to download. The dingbat fonts are nice.

At the moment, I have the Eurostile fonts (from the Captain Scarlet end credits), the Winamp skin, a puzzle or two, a few pieces of music from the TV series, Kambei's fonts, and a downloadable game that I found some time ago online (I'm not sure if the original link still exists).

I know there was a Windows Media skin from the Classic Scarlet official site - which is as dead as the New Scarlet site... - but I don't know if it could be found somewhere else online. If someone knows where to find it, please share with us!

Oh, and Blue Peter had a step by step plan for children to built a cardboard Cloudbase. I think it's not available anymore - unless they changed the link?

Unfortunately, I haven't been able to find the instructions for the Cloudbase make because the CBBC site seems to have scrapped all of the archived information from Blue Peter. However, they ARE creating a new site for the show, which promises to be bigger and better than the current one. I'm emailing them to see if they can provide a link or the instructions now, but otherwise, here's hoping that Cloudbase makes a reappearence soon.

On the plus side, I did find a make I remember from the early nineties, when I watched Blue Peter religiously - Tracy Island!

I've got a reply from Blue Peter, and they reckon they've never had a Cloudbase on the makes section. If anyone could send me the old address for it, I'll send it on to them and they'll have another look at it for us.

I actually saved the pages on my old PC from cache and found them. If they can't restore it, I am considering putting it on the site eventually.

I don't have the original address, unfortunately. Maybe someone else can help you with that?

Thanks for that one. Saved it into my fonts folder
