Australian actor Ray Barrett, one of Supermarionation's most versatile voice artists has passed away.
Among Mr. Barrett's repertoire, were the voices of WASP Commander Samuel Shore, Lieutenant John Horatio Fisher, and most notably, International Rescue's John Tracy, as well as many other voices in the Supermarionation world.
Rest In Peace, Ray.....you will be surely missed!

Having not visited the forum for a while, I hadn't seen this post and was unaware of Ray Barrett's sad demise.
In addition to his work as a voice artist for Gerry and Sylvia Anderson productions, he was a veteran actor with many TV appearances to his credit, both in the UK and Australia.
His craggy face and distinctive voice were instantly recognisable and will not be forgotten.
R.I.P, Ray.

What a shame. R.I.P Ray Barrett. You did a great job as John Tracy.
Our friends are just Angels without wings...and they never ever leave us, even when we can't see them beside us.
