Captain Scarlet casting idea.

I always wondered who would play a good live action Captain Scarlet and I have finally placed it.
John Barrowman, he has the matinee idol looks of the Captain, but without all the Hollywood looks that you see now a days. Plus, he has the acting ability to pull of a man who can't die. He already does it on TOrchwood. And in there lies the problem, he may not want to play a character so close to one he already plays.
Anyhoo, sorry if this has been mentioned, search broguht up nothing related.
