Which Captain Scarlet: original, new, or live-action?

This is an inquiry of the other members--which version of Captain Scarlet do you prefer?

Do you like the super-marionation classics?

Do you believe the "hyper-marionation" computer-generated images are more to your taste?

Or are you still waiting for a live-action version of Captain Scarlet?

While I did love the new series, nothing gets cooler thank classic CS, besides Thunderbirds and UFO that is

Love both old and new, with a bit of a nod to the new. Having a real-life version would be the ultimate, though !

I'm from the old school, I prefer the classic original!!

I definitely prefer the original version - always have and always will. :grin:

What eps I've seen of NCS bored me the second time around.

Here's a one word reminder before considering a live version - Thunderbirds. :evil:

mmm, I had sort of forgotten the T-Bird disaster.

I was thinking of something that would be the quality of "Battlestar Galactica" and preferably written by someone like David E Kelley. I can dream, I suppose !

It should have been evident that Jonathan Frakes was no Birder. Otherwise he would never have botched it the way he did.

Is there a nickname for those who are interested in Captain Scarlet, a la Anderphiles, Birders, Trekkers, Enterprisers, or the like?

Naaaa! I always thought "Scarleteers" worked for me, or perhaps, "Puppet Lovers" for Supermarionation lovers!

(However, if some people heard me use the "P" word, they'd kick me in the dishpan!! :lol:

)

I also agree that Frakes did a less-than admirable job with the live-action T-Birds! :shock:

For one thing, Frakes had Alan piloting Thunderbird 4!! :shock:

*Addressing Frakes* "GORDON is the water baby you knucklehead, NOT ALAN!!!!"......GEE WILLY WONKERS!!!! :evil:

The new series was good but there was to many changes for changes sake I feel they had a good storyine but for 'The Inqisition' that really needed work. I would have like for Earth and the Mysterons war of nerves to have ended in a stalemate because the mysterons had black while Spectrum had scarlet a balance of power if you will.

Nothing gets better than the classics

Which guys? I use 'Scarletinis' to refer to my close associates. That or a more general Anderfans... :lol:

Okay, so the plural was ambitious. 'Guys' being of the male variety as opposed to the non-gender-specific group of chums. I always liked it as a name.
