Captain Scarlet episode reviews...

How far inland do you suppose the explosion could be and still have it be along the "seaboard"? Because there are an awful lot of buildings--and people inside them--along the beaches of New England and the Gulf of Mexico. In fact, I think New York City is on the Atlantic shore.

That shot makes him look like he actually WAS inside the chimney. (I was kind of halfway expecting him to slide down it, instead of teleporting himself away, that would've been a real hoot!)

Brilliant job, Secretive. Our loss in Uni's gain, more's the pity.

But surely writing these episode reviews is much, much more important?

And you can bet your boots, that if you indeed do reviews for Thunderbirds, I will most definitely look forward to them!!

While watching Joe 90 and The Secret Service I was reminded of your reviews with some of the same situations - example - the second episode of Secret Service - two men talking and one says that the water plant has run for 249 hours straight without a hitch and what possibly could go wrong - he mentions this several times and of course the plant blows up a second later!!
One thing I learned from Gerry Anderson - don't be too confident on anything!

Of course, it is has been very interesting to see your ratings for each episode and everyone has different likes and dislikes. I would rate the first episode, 'The Mysterons', as a 5-Scarlet episode - so much happens in 30 minutes.
Generally, I agree to within 1-Scarlet with all your ratings but I must take issue

Expo 2068 - your rating 1-Scarlet; my rating 4-Scarlets!
Flight to Atlantica - your rating 5-Scarlets; my rating 2-Scarlets!
Many thanks for brightening up my day.

For those of you interested in his work as Matthew Harding in The Secret Service you can hear him reprising his role in an amusing sketch especially made for the US boxset. This is entitled: "Secret Confessions with Special Agent Matthew Harding".
You may know that in the actual tv series Matthew (1/3 size) is chased by Gerry Anderson's (I think) dog called Kruger in The Feathered Spies and hides in the kennel of a delightfully ugly dog which licks his face in The Deadly Whisper.
In the "Confessions" sketch there is a similar confrontation between the miniaturised Matthew and a big cat which is quite funny - no pictures though, just sound.

*sigh* No wonder I always feel that us R2s seem to be left out of everything. That's not on my boxset

I am a sad case but, being a fan of The Secret Service, I also have the Australian (Umbrella) boxset as well which is also Region 0. There is not much extra on here though so unless you are a 'completist' there is no point getting this one to.

OK there wasn't anything else - apart from the episodes of course - to be pleased about in that set (shame on Umbrella Ent!!

It is a shame though. Having got one thing right, it's a pity there weren't more extras included.
